Hoiberg taken to hospital. Team was Quarantined in Locker Room. Fred diagnosed w/ Influenza A

Fred may have been sent in (undercover sick) by Joe Lunardi. Sending Oscar the Grouch in would have been too obvious and Pat Chambers wasn’t playing ball, so to speak.

Amazing how he instantly felt better not having to watch his team play..... Joking aside, I wonder how much this season has worn on him health wise.
I feel better knowing I’ll never have to watch a Nebber or ISU game for the rest of this year.

Terrible, terrible b-ball. Not to mention their fball programs.

My God, those 2 teams combined wins still couldn’t earn them a tourney bid.

I like Fred Hoiberg and always have. That said, this was a horrible decision regardless of what was wrong with him. Why? Because he and others probably didn't know and they let him go anyway. On the surface, it seems awful damn careless.
yeah; several media members have come out and said it was reckless, esp when he had not been feeling well all day

People need to drop this idea that somebody else is responsible for our actions,... With what is going on right now it was reckless of Hoiberg to attend this event,.. Responsible adults should take personal responsibility for their actions...
I agree. Hoiberg should have known better and should have stayed at the hotel when he had not been feeling well all day with flu like symptoms. His assistants were plenty capable.

At the same time, BTN TV kept saying Fred was not feeling well. I am sure the Debbie AD knew this. The Debbie AD should have stepped in and told a stubborn Fred that based on what is going on around the country and around the world, he needs to stay at the hotel and/or go see a doctor to make sure everything is ok.

As an additional and less important point, his team was the 14 seeded team. His team was not going to beat IU with 2 football players at the end of the bench. Fred put his team, the IU team, the fans in the arena, the BTT and the entire NCAA tournament at jeopardy with his selfish, reckless actions.
