Holy cow!!! Is Wisconsin even younger than we are?!!!

More a hope, my guess is he RS’s next year but we just landed a soph QB considered by many to be the best player in Kansas for our 2019 class.

So you have more year with Horny, basically? Maybe if you have a healthy bunch of WRs he'll do better next year.

These are the facts. Iowa population is 3.1 million, Wi population is 5.7 million. Iowa has another P5 school (isu) taking prospects from state as well. WI has no other power 5 in the state. Both rely heavily on in-state recruiting. WI has tremendous advantage in this area. This is the difference. And still Kirk does have 5 Top 10 finishes - pretty darn good for our program!!
Nebraska has this advantage, as does Minnesota. This is one reason it is tough to win consistently at Iowa.

They could have a couple OL go pro. I think both Dieter and Benzschawel (sp?) could leave if they want to.

I just looked at yesterday's Depth Chart for the Hawks and Badgers...and after yesterday's outcome I was thinking..."Well as bad as it was (and it was ALL TIME epic bad!), at least I thought "Well, we are young and will learn from this and get better."

UGH!!! We lose 8 starters.....4 on offense and 4 on defense (maybe nine if Jackson goes pro). Freaking Wisconsin appears to be even younger than we are!!! The only lose 2 starter on offense, and return their ENTIRE MASSIVE offensive line!!! This was a shock to me, as I was thinking they lost quite a bit more than we did.

Am I over reacting in my worry??

GO HAWKS!!!

That's an excuse. Nothing less. If that was really all that mattered, Illinois would win the West every single year! Shit leadership is why they don't. Great leadership is why Wisconsin does.

On offense, each team started pretty similar lineups from a recruiting perspective except for at WR. Just look at the difference in offers between the two. These were Wisky's #4, 5, and 6 receivers coming into the season.

Fr Danny Davis: Kentucky, WVU, Illinois, Iowa, MSU, Nebraska, NW, Oregon, PSU, Rutgers, WSU
So A.J. Taylor: Illinois, Iowa, ISU, Kansas, Kansas St, Louisville, Maryland, Mizzou, Nebraska, NW, Vanderbilt
rFr Kendric Pryor: Iowa, ISU

rSr Matt VandeBerg: None
Fr Ihmir Smith-Marsette: Minnesota, Rutgers, BC
Jr Nick Easley: None

Youth will be a factor in wiskys success. But I think the bigger factor may be the use of Performance enhancers by numerous players. I have suspected this recently. The size of the o linemen and the linebackers is most egregious.

Brats, cheese, and beer will do that for ya.

In 2015-2017 for wi
16/62 kids were from wi
2/10 4* kids were from wi
iowa
20/67 are in state
A whopping 3 4-5* players. 1 instate 1 had father play here 1 came because his brother was here.

Looking at 2013-14 wiscy had 7 4* guys....1 of the 7 from wiscy.

Sorry, not buying this they are better because of their population/lack of competition.
If it was that simple why does minny blow?

You must have read that wrong. All of their guys were 5th year seniors and have not had a freshman or sophomore take a snap all year. Iowa is the only team that has underclasman playing. Nice try though.

Our QB is a sophomore for crying out loud!

I can’t remember that far back...who won the head to head prior year?
