After watching Monday, I felt we would win 6 to 7 games in the league at most. Vegas has it at 9.5. What am I missing here?

I dont know but every time I think Vegas is missing something I end up missing my money.
Agreed 100 percent. Just don't know how, with the team we put on the floor on Monday, will get to 10 wins in this league that is full of teams with good to great athletes. If Bohannon shuts it down we may not get to 5 wins.

With or without JBo, I count 9 probable league wins.

Minnesota
Penn State
Northwestern
Wisconsin
Rutgers
Nebraska x2
Illinois x2

Change my mind...

The Bohannon that played against DePaul was nothing but a detriment.

I don't want to see him out there at all this season anymore.

Without a better supporting cast, JBo isn't going to have much impact launching deep / hurried 3's like we saw last year when teams hounded him from end to end. If DePaul was a bump in the road and the team gets back to moving the ball and JBo doesn't have to wear a defender for 35 minutes, I like the prospects of him getting clean looks with fresher legs. TBD if Iowa has a guy or the system to create these clean looks.

Tough to really say anything yet about the Hawks except they sucked against De Paul.
If I were to forecast based upon what I saw the other night Iowa is definitely in the bottom 4 of the B1G, but that's if that game is indicative of who the team is. We shall see.

How do you feel about ISU’s 8.5 game o/u? (18 games)

I did put some money on the under, I just have a hard time betting on Iowa games.

I had us 15-16 overall and 8-12 in conference before the season even with a healthy JBo playing, but that was counting DePaul as a win so jury's out right now.

Pretty much.

No eight bid league this year, that’s for sure.
And it could not have come at a better time for Fran. He can still win some games with this roster against this conference slate. Now that non-con slate might not be as kind though....

The Big Ten is HORRID. It’s the early 2000s again. MSU, Maryland, and OSU and a bunch of average to horrible teams.
Well this is a ridiculous post as evident by the Big Ten's winning of the Gavitt Games over the Big East which is supposed to be one of the best leagues in the country this year.

Who has the Big East rated higher than the Big Ten?

Pomeroy for one:

1 B12
2 BE
3 ACC
4 B10
5 SEC

Hard to disagree with so far, imo.

Bart Torvik for another:

1 B12
2 PAC12 (!)
3 ACC
4 BE
5 B10

Not sure about PAC12 at #2 in the long run but I don’t think there’s any question that the B10 is down.
