How bad was the spotting by the officials today? There was also a play where Niemann looked like he got ripped down for a non-holding call. Officiating was suspect in my eyes.

Pretty bad.. I can't believe we didn't challenge a spot on a third down catch that was clearly a yard short in the fourth quarter.

This has been happening in many college games for the last several years, but that doesn't make it right. The officials often don't even attempt to get a true mark. Missing by a yard or more is ridiculous. I'd like to see the press question the Big Ten director of officials and ask for an explanation of why this is happening and why it is allowed to continue.
And the two back-to-back "holding" calls on Iowa were absolutely BS. You call those, you call holding on EVERY play--even on Indiana. And those calls helped Indiana back into the game just when Iowa was about to pull away.
