How does one logically explain the highs and lows of the OSU win and the UW debacle?

I think you could argue
1) OSU did not use the same game plan on defense that has worked all season...crowd the line of scrimmage and blitz.
2) OSU QB got too fixated on beating Jackson and Jackson won.
3) Parker made some adjustments in 2nd half to take away QB run option.

We played well enough defensively to win this game. Offense was inept, ill prepared. Iowa OL and QB were not prepared for Wisconsin 3-4. It starts with the OL--> OL is supposedly BF/KF speciality. What does that tell you about their competence level?

There's not a logical explanation.
There's a lot of illogic in college football and Iowa is a shining example of that.
Inconsistently inconsistent.

Iowa came to play vs tOSU.. just like they did PSU.... PSU/tOSU beat the absolute he$$ out of each other.. tOSU goes in flat, and PSU gets hit by a lightning storm. As much as that sucks (I'm a PSU guy) at least we didn't pull a Georgia or Notre Dame LOL.

Iowa had no big wins in September. Only games they are expected to win and usually do.
