3 should be enough as long as 2 of the 3 is Nebraska and Minnesota.

That said, it really feels like 6-2 is very realistic which is wild. 3 home wins, Minnesota, and then split the roadies against Purdue, Northwestern, Wisconsin and Indiana.
Don't want to get the cart in front of the horse here, but if they go 6-2 I think a 6 seed, maybe even a 5 seed with some help is in the range of possibilities.

Hawks are perfectly capable of finishing 6-2 in their last 8 [the losses @ PU & @ IU]. But I'll low-ball it and go with 5-3 [the other loss coming @ either NW or WIS]. Not a real favorable finish; 5 of last 8 on the road.

If their last 8 goes to script, and they go 5-3 (or 6-2), they are locks for an NCAA bid - no matter what happens in the BTT.

4-4 probably gets them in without sweating the bubble too much, but anything less - if also go 0-1 at the BTT - and it'll be anyone's guess if they get invited or not.

Iowa can not lose the @ MIN game next Sunday. It won't be an abominable loss like EIU was, metrics-wise, but Minnesota is bar none the worst team in the conference this season. Maryland just trounced them by 35 in the Barn up there tonight.

Of Iowa's 7-5 B1G record, they are 7-1 vs teams that are & above .500 [the 1 loss being the horrible FT-anomaly game @ MSU] and 0-4 vs teams that are currently sub-.500 [thankfully only one of those was at home, vs WIS]. That's both really good and really bad, at the same time.

I see 4 hopefully 5 more wins for us. I'm not going to worry about the tourney if we win 4-5 more games, we should get in.
