How much would Dale Jones have helped?

You've got to think that with his reputation as a rebounder and outside shooter plus his size on defense, Dale Jones could have made a significant difference during this awful slump. Woody is a warrior, but his unwillingness to try and score and the lack of another effective post defender is killing us.

Wouldn't hurt.

Baer brings very little anymore.

I'm guessing Dale would be a 6 and 4 kinda guy.
Baer brings effort and emotion, both of which are things that very few on the roster bring.

As it is, we have nobody on the bench capable of hitting a three right now. Jones would have been nice to have.

One guy would not have stopped what's happening right now ...

Agree to some extent but at the same time he would have been one more viable option with some maturity and experience to get some bench production. He could have spelled JU for a few minutes also while he has been struggling. Maybe we steal one of these last 3 losses with what he brings to our mix. We were not all that far off despite the disappointment here at the end.

Jones would likely help, but hard to say how much given the limited sampling we have seen. We are missing Olaseni's blocks, rebounds and shot alters big time. He was a big factor down the stretch, even if he wasn't scoring and IMO, he had more offense than Woodbury. Not trying to knock Woodbury, but the guy has two ways to score; free throw and reverse layup off a screen and roll. At this point, I would rather see him shoot uncontested 8-10 footers than Uthoff's circus shots.

It is some sort of Devan Bawinkel curse. We hear about these guys making all these shots in practice, but it doesn't ever translate to the court in conference play. However, if Ellingson transferred to WI, he would suddenly morph into a clutch 3 point shooter and gritty defender.
