Why would someone do that? I mean, if they were psychotic, it makes sense, but no sane person would do this.

No, my wife calls me to either to tell me something she wants me to know at that time or to ask me a question. Both are very rare. Just looked at my call log and my wife last called me on 12/9, before that it was 11/29. She will text me more often which is about every couple of days. We normally talk at home, over dinner. Like I'd imagine most couples do. Maybe I'm way off base there though.
Oh we talk at dinner too. I married a talker. I don't mind when she calls for something pertinent, but often it's because she's bored, in the car, and wants to talk about whatever is going on in her head.
Chris Rock did a bit one time about walking in the door from work, and before you can even begin to get settled, BAM!...hit with everything about her day. That's me. I love her a ton, but that bit is my world.
My HS girlfriend did that. Leave my house, call me when she got to her house, talk for another hour or two. Every time.
Looking back, that’s pretty psycho behavior. Probably why we broke up.
I seriously envy you guys that have wives that dont call.
Yesterday my wife called at 3.50 when she left work. Then again at 4.15 to tell me about something that came in the mail. Then at 5.08 she texted me to call her when I left work (which I did). Then she called again at 6.25. The only thing that was important was a change in car rides for a kid and that I had to be home at a certain time to take a few kids to a practice. She texted me that in between the phone calls.
Friday she called me 4 times. Thursday, 3 times.

Only time I purposefully don't answer her calls is if I'm in the middle of something pressing at work.
I need to save this post to read when I'm annoyed with my wife. This isn't typically a issue for me, at least not when I'm at work.
The only comparable thing I could mention is that when I run errands, especially something that might take longer like grocery shopping, I get several texts asking me how far I am along on it and there seems to always be a reason why I need to hurry up and get it done.
But my wife doesn't ever call me "just to talk". We talk when we get home.
This is the behavior of a woman who will be married at least three times. Hope you have a good attorney.
Either that or he has been caught banging a side piece before and she is calling to see if it's happening again.
