Just my take:

1. Michigan - 17-3 - Remaining losses: MSU at home, at WIS, at MSU
2. Illinois - 16-4 - Remaining losses: at MSU, at MICH, at WIS
3. Iowa - 15-5 - Remaining Losses: at ILL, at WIS, at MSU, at MICH
4. Wisconsin - 15-5 - Remaining Losses: at MICH, at RUT, at ILL, at Iowa

This scenario would have the Hawks potentially matching up with Illinois in the Semi-Finals of the Big 10 Tourney, and then going on to beat Michigan in the Finals.

Again, just my take based on how I see the remaining schedules playing out.

Not sure that MSU wins those games you list... Everyone is assuming MSU has returned to form.

Otherwise, nice work. And you might be right about MSU. Who knows

1t. Iowa - 17-3 - Remaining losses: @ ILL and @ IU
1t. Michigan - 17-3 - Remaining losses: @ WIS, @ MSU and vs Iowa
1t. Illinois - 17-3- Remaining losses: @ UM and @ WIS
4. Wisconsin - 14-6 - Remaining losses: @ UM, @ RU, vs Iowa, @ ILL and @ Iowa

"Life on the road" and ILL being like ISU in this rivalry game nowadays means they'll want that game really badly. And there's just something about the games @ IU - aside from a rare one, here and there - that always seems to trip the Hawks up over there in Bloomington.

most likely outcome is the conference champ at 15-5. Unlikely anybody gets to 17 wins. Small chance someone gets 16. Current best projected total on KenPom is 14 wins. Just too many tough games.

top 4 teams clearly separating themselves from everyone else, but the middle of the conference is a bunch of top 25 or close to it teams that will win a few against the top 4. Teams aren’t robots. They have good and bad days and against consistently tough competition you will lose on some of those bad days.

Not sure what this means.

Iowa/ISU fball and bball games. ISU wants to win that game like almost no others on their schedule.

If nothing else, Connor needs to try to keep his cool because the ILL guards will try and start s* with him all game long, like they did in both games last season.

You think Illinois wants to win the Iowa game “like almost no others on their schedule?”

Why? They beat us last year and finished ahead of us in the league standings.

We have Illinois posters here. What say you? Is this true? Has the Iowa game become Illinois’ “Super Bowl’? lol

I think what he was saying is that both games got personal and at times, chippy last year. Last year in IC, both teams came together near the Iowa bench and coaches had to be separated. It definitely got heated. Both teams were projected 1 and 2 in almost all preseason projections and both teams have players projected 1 and 2 for the B1G player of the year.

I don’t agree with the comparison between ISU and their “super bowl”, but you’d be foolish if you don’t think either team doesn’t have this game marked on their calendars. Maybe more so on Iowa’s since they will be they’ll be the road team and lost their last meeting.

Almost every year since I have been an Iowa fan and thats a long long time..
I have did the proverbial W/L prediction with the schedule. For obvious reasons, I just can’t do it with any sense of confidence this year, minus some victories vs. some bottom feeders this year.

Its such a toss up in a ton of the remaining games in ours and the other conference contenders’ games. The ebbs and flow of the season is pretty hard to predict. Teams will get hot and cold from now through the first week of March. So Hard to predict our own team’s games no less how the top half of the B1G is going to finish.

Have at it on the predictions, it just makes my head hurt trying to do it this year

“Super Bowl”?? Lol no. Fairly likely to be our most important league game and easily our most intense? Yes. But that’s true of any Iowa fan who isn’t lying this year, too.

Oh yeah, and ~Connor~ doesn’t exactly need someone to help when it comes to starting shlt, guys. Both teams were jawing at each other last year in what’s become a pretty hot rivalry, in two very close, hard-fought games. Of course you’re going to default to your players being less responsible for any temper flares, but to act like your squad will just keep their mouths shut and try their bestest to ignore our player’s taunts is naive.

I think the championship likely runs through Ann Arbor (that whore) this year. That’s likely Iowa’s most important game. Wisconsin too. Illinois too. I expect it’s the same for Illinois. No Iowa Super Bowl.

Possibly, but I want to see more from Michigan. Their claims to fame so far are two things Illinois did but even more drastically - murder Minnesota and Northwestern. Don’t get me wrong, they’re good, and they have the easiest schedule. But I think Iowa and Illinois are at least as good, and I want to see Michigan vs. a top team.

You might be right. We will learn a lot from Wisconsin vs. Michigan Tuesday.

I don't see any of the top 3 losing at MSU this year.
