As far as I can tell I have to subscribe to something like Hulu, etc to watch. I have cox cable and can watch some espn things by signing in to cox. But I can't find anything about that for espnu.
help????

Just found ESPNU on a high number on COX. It is kind of a weird name like ESPUx or something. I assumed it was like ESPN+ that you can get with a ISP that carries ESPN. Thanks all.

Another reason why YouTubeTV is the move
speaking of YouTube TV, I have a question for you. I've been thinking of making the move and I've just been a little bit hesitant due to the convenience factor of my current cable box and all the integrated crap it has. My question is whether you can record stuff on YouTube TV? If so do you need an external DVR? any info you can share on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Yessir, you can record stuff, and no, you don’t need an external DVR. You can either go to the “guide” or you can search for specific shows, movies, events, etc. and you have the option to either record that specific event, or you can record all future shows. So, if you aren’t around for most Iowa games, you can choose to “record all future Iowa basketball games,” or record all the shows in a series that you are watching. What is really nice is that it is all saved over the cloud, versus an external DVR, so you have, to my knowledge, unlimited storage, can view your recordings across all devices in which you are logged into your account, and don’t need to go cleaning out your library to make room for whatever you want to record next.

I’m a big advocate for YTTV - haven’t looked back after switching. Also, if you have family/friends you want to share with, you can do family sharing under their Google account and they can have their customized YTTV account on their own devices without it counting against the devices you view on

unlimited storage and shows are kept for 9 months. I wish you could delete shows you've watched but not a huge deal...I'm a big fan of youtube tv and will never go back to satellite or cable.
