I stopped reading after Kentucky.
Interesting, because Kentucky never started.

I don't follow that sport too much.....totally a joke with all the corruption. I have stated many times we have been putrid but will never apologize for enjoying the success we are now experiencing. I have only pointed out how Mark Stoops has instilled a new confidence into this program. Going into November with a chance to win a SEC title...yeah it's pretty cool.
Other than that I haven't said anything too ridiculous . Good luck against the Buckeyes on Saturday.
Oh no! You brought up a past thrashing..... Calm down, eat your corn puffs and enjoy your win last night. You've got a big one on Saturday, maybe we'll meet in a bowl game. Thanks for being you!I think we are all trying to figure out why the hell a Kentucky fan is over here grandstanding on an Iowa football board.
Then you bring up "a chance to win the SEC title". Must have forgot you got destroyed by Mississippi State last week.
Just wander on back to your own board. A Kentucky fan's "pro tip" on football is about as useless as a 3 dollar bill.

I like college football and am a fan of Kentucky, I like conversing with all types of fans outside of my SEC bubble. I would enjoy a home and home with you guys but it seems your docket is full with others. Is there a no fly zone for fans of other teams here on these message boards?

Maybe it's because Ferentz / Iowa program doesn't look at just the # of stars behind a player's name, but also look for players with higher character, good academics, and individuals willing to work hard. I'm not saying that many highly rated players don't have such qualities, but often times they do not, and can be head cases. I recall a comment from Barry Alvarez quite a few years ago when he was still the Wisconsin coach (before moving to AD position), when WI was experiencing early part of their successful run...WI had started to recruit more nationally/higher star rated players, but had some of those players with character/academic issues and he indicated it was probably better to lock down own state and get high character 3* athletes over the "entitled" 4/5 star players.I already stated our poor history so trudging up classes that far would do nothing. I'm not going to talk about Mumme, Brooks, Joker or any of that garbage. What Stoops has done with Vince Marrow is a beautiful thing. Remember this is Kentucky with zero BCS bowls or conference titles so I'll just highlight our most recent class
1. Lynn Bowden a four star HB out of Youngstown, Ohio
2.Javonte Richardson a four star wideout from Mapleton, Ohio
3.Joshua Pashal a four star DE out of Olney, Maryland
4.Tyrell Aijan a four star athlete out of Mansfield, Ohio
I can't argue the last twenty years, you got me but what momentum or optimism do you hold now for your NFL lineman, Rose Bowl and two Orange Bowl appearances. Does Kirk install the confidence in beating Ohio State, Penn State or Wisconsin in the near future? I'm not mocking your program because I don't have a leg to stand on there. I know what Kentucky football has been but I am very optimistic about the way we are pointed.
.
I stopped reading after Kentucky.
Recently had the pleasure of traveling to BIG country and catch a game with one of my buddies in the cheese state. I have to say the difference in speed between your athletes and ours in the SEC (Kentucky) is improving with the infusion of great coaches like Urban an SEC guy, Jim an NFL guy and James who is another SEC guy. What I find odd though is how all of them are in the Eastern side.
Now Wisconsin is great but if they go head to head with Alabama they would be run off the field. That's not a big revelation or anything but my concern or question is why cant a program like yours steal any of the recruits from Ohio, Illinois , Michigan or Pennsylvania now that three of those four states are recruiting nationally? Oh and Illinois is a train wreck. We've had great success raiding those states and our talent level has increased exponentially due to our coach refusing to make excuses for being a basketball school, low populace state and having a poor history. Our A.D has finally seen the light and invested in the proper facilities to compete in the SEC. I know you guys love Ferentz but he seems content to play the poor old Iowa card. Until this changes you'll never be anything other than just plain Iowa (not your state, your football program).
Don't be a plain piece of bread, the time to rise up and bury the Nebraska's of the world is upon you. Strive for greatness or accept mediocrity Hawkeyes.
How tough is Northwestern?WHY THE HELL ARE YOU EVEN HERE???????????????????????????
Go Troll somewhere else
At times Iowa can make anyone look tough. How tough is Northwestern?

If they played in Madison in November, Wisconsin would win by 24.
Yeah they recruit the MAC level kids, I'm talking four stars bub. Don't tell me they cant win any of those battles either because Iowa has more cache than Kentucky in football circles and we've landed our fair share. Strive for better.
This is a hard one. On one hand, they don't have very many teeth to count. On the other, they don't count well over 5....How many teeth do you have?

Its not foolhardy. He's getting the results he came here for, just as he always does. Was he mocking Iowa's success or it's recruiting? At least he seems to know where his team stands as a football program.....
Its cool to be stoked Todd but coming into a message forum of Iowa Hawkeye fans and telling them the secret to success was foolhardy.
Did you do that when you visited your friend and how did that go? Wisconsin is always known for its friendly fans.
As for including a level playing field, lets play the CFP semis and final in the great stadiums in the north and see what the outcomes look like. Oh I'm sorry we can't do that right, no one would want to come and sit in the cold! BULL! Maybe those southern pussys would stay home, but I think we'd see a packed Big House, Shoe, Happy Valley, Lambeau. Hell if its that big a deal lets play in Ford field in Detroit, or Indy. Lets see what the outcomes would be for USC, Stanford, LSU, Florida, and Bama's of the world having to play one of these program defining games out of their element for a change. The decade of oversigning really helped the sec. that’s supposedly stopped. And now the sec only has an 8 game conference schedule , all other power 5 conferences play 9. How about a level playing field instead of ongoing advantages for the sec ?
Rise up and bury the Nebraska's of the world? Do you even follow college football? Holy shit dude, look at the series in the last 5 years and pay attention to the scores the last two years. Kentucky sucks, SEC is over rated, Bama should not be in playoffs, SEC overall gets a pass for their pathetic non conference schedules which leads to inflated rankings. Also, statistically speaking southern people have a much lower IQ levels and general intelligence of their northern counterparts, they also have extremely poor public schools. Long story short, where do you get off (being from Kentucky) coming onto our board and telling us what we should or should not do? For one Kentucky sucks at football, #2 only matter of time before the basketball program has to give up the championships and wins since coach K has been there and it is obvious that Coach Pitino is scum bag too.............essentially you should probably stay in your laneRecently had the pleasure of traveling to BIG country and catch a game with one of my buddies in the cheese state. And his writing skills have to be in the 99.9 % of the state of Kentucky. The negative nelly's on this board are getting creative, posing as a Kentucky fan huh.
You are a wee bit too invested in this agenda of yours to just be a Kentucky fan passing through.
Not sure about this, but I would certainly love to see one the "big boys" down south have to come up and play a game like you mention. I'm not just being a homer, seriously, but it really truly would be an interesting case study to bring say Alabama/Auburn/Georgia up to Ann Arbor/Madison/Happy Valley in a 25-degree day with some snow and see how things pan out.
I'll always pull for a team with a Stoops as coach ...I don't follow that sport too much.....totally a joke with all the corruption. They're pretty good. Still think we should have beaten them....but that's the way she goes! How tough is Northwestern?
he's probably asking because they play NW, no need to get your panties in a bunch.....Tougher than 70% of the SEC dipshit.
I have to say, a month and a half and 74 posts later, and this still wins the thread...I stopped reading after Kentucky.
he's probably asking because they play NW, no need to get your panties in a bunch.....
lol fair enoughThe guy was an ignorant doosh the second he posted here banging on the B1G west division, and now he's trying to backtrack and make nice. I don't know who his team plays and don't give a shit. Thanks for the advice but I'll respond to dumbass fans of irrelevant programs who come here to talk smack how I see fit.
