I think we are all trying to figure out why the hell a Kentucky fan is over here grandstanding on an Iowa football board.
Then you bring up "a chance to win the SEC title". Must have forgot you got destroyed by Mississippi State last week.
Just wander on back to your own board. A Kentucky fan's "pro tip" on football is about as useless as a 3 dollar bill.

I like college football and am a fan of Kentucky, I like conversing with all types of fans outside of my SEC bubble. I would enjoy a home and home with you guys but it seems your docket is full with others. Is there a no fly zone for fans of other teams here on these message boards?
Every SEC team not named Alabama gets destroyed by Alabama so I am not sure what the OP's point is?
I did enjoy the win last night. I just find it peculiar that a Kentucky fan that openly admits they've accomplished nothing comes to an iowa board to tell us "how it's done" and using another team as the example. Stay in your own lane, we'll stay in ours.
Maybe it's because Ferentz / Iowa program doesn't look at just the # of stars behind a player's name, but also look for players with higher character, good academics, and individuals willing to work hard. I'm not saying that many highly rated players don't have such qualities, but often times they do not, and can be head cases. I recall a comment from Barry Alvarez quite a few years ago when he was still the Wisconsin coach (before moving to AD position), when WI was experiencing early part of their successful run...WI had started to recruit more nationally/higher star rated players, but had some of those players with character/academic issues and he indicated it was probably better to lock down own state and get high character 3* athletes over the "entitled" 4/5 star players.
Well good news chief, our offense is going to start matching our defense in the next few years or we are likely to get that guy that will up recruiting anyway. Win win really.(for us)

Other than my annual trip to IC for a game, I attend a good number of Tide games each year, and I forgot you guys were even in the SEC. You should take your passive aggressive trolling elsewhere. Kentucky just serves as a bye week for Bama.

Not sure about this, but I would certainly love to see one the "big boys" down south have to come up and play a game like you mention. I'm not just being a homer, seriously, but it really truly would be an interesting case study to bring say Alabama/Auburn/Georgia up to Ann Arbor/Madison/Happy Valley in a 25-degree day with some snow and see how things pan out.
This is a hard one. On one hand, they don't have very many teeth to count. On the other, they don't count well over 5....
The decade of oversigning really helped the sec. that’s supposedly stopped. And now the sec only has an 8 game conference schedule , all other power 5 conferences play 9. How about a level playing field instead of ongoing advantages for the sec ?

As for including a level playing field, lets play the CFP semis and final in the great stadiums in the north and see what the outcomes look like. Maybe those southern pussys would stay home, but I think we'd see a packed Big House, Shoe, Happy Valley, Lambeau. Hell if its that big a deal lets play in Ford field in Detroit, or Indy. Lets see what the outcomes would be for USC, Stanford, LSU, Florida, and Bama's of the world having to play one of these program defining games out of their element for a change.

Kentucky sucks, SEC is over rated, Bama should not be in playoffs, SEC overall gets a pass for their pathetic non conference schedules which leads to inflated rankings. Also, statistically speaking southern people have a much lower IQ levels and general intelligence of their northern counterparts, they also have extremely poor public schools. Long story short, where do you get off (being from Kentucky) coming onto our board and telling us what we should or should not do? For one Kentucky sucks at football, #2 only matter of time before the basketball program has to give up the championships and wins since coach K has been there and it is obvious that Coach Pitino is scum bag too.............essentially you should probably stay in your lane
I can tell you from experience that playing in cold, windy, snowy, wet weather makes a HUGE difference. Just making a tackle or taking on a trapping O-Lineman on a 20 degree windy, sleeting day is brutal and makes the bones creak. In the cold weather your muscles tighten up and you just slow down. Weather like that favors the larger, more physical team. Basically, Big Ten style of play.

The guy was an ignorant doosh the second he posted here banging on the B1G west division, and now he's trying to backtrack and make nice. I don't know who his team plays and don't give a shit.
