I'd take a gamble on him.
I don't know. I just read a thread about how great the "hidden" yardage Iowa gets is. I'm not sure how compatible that would be with actual yardage. Not to mention the adversity I keep hearing it would cause the defense.
He was a miss out of high school. If we could take a second chance on Kayden Proctor and the price tag attached to that, I think we should at least contact Dekkers and see if there's interest. Dekkers was a legitimate D1 starting talent in a Power 4 conference at a school that believed they could compete for conference titles. If Matt Campbell, who has had a pretty good run of starting qbs, saw him as a starter, I hope we're at least interested. It would also be fun to see him beat Iowa State. I believe he'd be the first QB to start on both sides of the rivalry.

What update? The civil cases and the NCAA ruling are independent of one another.
I doubt the NCAA is going to reverse course.
I expect NAIA, the Canadian Football League and the NFL are still possible though.

Nelson Brands was the update, I couldn't remember how he became eligible again, but he was granted a hardship waiver.
while he didn't miss due to injury, pass on anyone who hasn't played for a season or more, especially at QB.
