Hunter Stieber article

If Sorenson doesn't win, WHO could you live with winning it then?
 
Yes, because TOSU needs the help. Have nothing against Striebler, I hope he's healthy and I sincerely hope Sorensen whoops his ass.

Really? Is this board not full of fans of DI wrestling? I didn't post a topic that shows anything negative towards Iowa. I can't believe Iowa fans wouldn't be interested in a very telling story about a top notch wrestler and seemingly a good kid.

How can you tell he is a good kid from an article? Of course they are going to make him out to be some pillar of the community. He probably is a good kid just like the other 40 kids on contending teams that I hope lose convincingly. You can blow steebler rainbows all you want but they will get better reception on the Buckeye board. I have a soft spot for those in the Iowa room battling back from injuries or loss(Paddock). Maybe you can share some articles about these guys on the Iowa board.
 
MSU, you spent months arguing with us that Brody would never make 141. Now that he has you seem to have decided to focus on teams not trying against Iowa and feel good stories on opposing teams. You are a unique Hawkeye fan cough cough

I post on here because, for the most part, the posters on here are very knowledgeable and love the sport. I made a mistake at the very beginning of misunderstanding the diehard loyalty to Iowa that many on here share. Since then, I have done my best to be respectful to that mantra and not post any topics that would be deemed as negative towards Iowa. This, however, IS NOT negative and I don't understand your push on this. If you don't want to read it you don't have to. But, I don't see why it would bother people on here to read it. If anything it gives you insight into where one of your biggest competitors (tOSU) stand as a team at this point in the season.

I am sorry to all, but it never dawned on me for a second that this topic would cause any angst whatsoever....................

Probably the part where you hope steebler wins a title if BS doesn't. In no way is it good for Iowa to have Hunter winning the title unless PSU is tied with Iowa and he is facing Zain. Don't try acting like I am hating on a good story. I have no problem with you but also remember quite well how much you stirred the pot with Brody a few months back and now these latest arguments are strange.
 
MSU, don't worry about the complainers. Thanks for posting on here and I appreciate the article. I am indeed a fan of D1 wrestling and seek out as much information as I can, not just Iowa articles. Good to know the opposition.

Please at least get your info straight.

1.) I never said Grothus couldn't make 141. I argued, that Grothus may not be effective at 141 and that his results to date back me up. I know he beat some very good competition during his career, but he is also 1-2 lifetime at the NCAA Tournament. I simply meant for people to temper their expectations and did apologize if I didn't properly get my point across. Let me CLEARLY STATE that I will be cheering for Grothus at 141 as hard as ANYONE here. His dedication to the team has earned 100% of my respect.

2.) I never said teams don't try against Iowa. I said they don't try AS HARD as Iowa. I meant it as a compliment. Iowa is a very unique program in DI wrestling. They are one of VERY FEW that have a large fanbase and are profitable. Their duals matter for more reasons than most other DI schools.

If you don't like me or my postings there is nothing I can do. But, I do not, nor will I ever, come on here with the intent to troll any of you like many of the posters that are not 100% Diehard Iowa fans do......

Someone has to win it if Sorenson doesn't. I honestly would rather Stieber win it after what he has gone through than see Retherford win it. The only other guy I see with a shot at winning 149 is Tsirtsis(and he sure has a sad story of his own) but he has already won 1.

What I post on here definitely gets twisted by some. Again, for clarity's sake, I hope Sorenson wins it all...................

MSU has been doing this same crap for over a year. Not saying the OP is stiring the pot, but he says stuff to get reactions out of people and then he will argue his point until he has to go to bed. He isn't the only one on this board who claims to not be anti Iowa and just claims he wants to talk about D1 wrestling and only states facts.

I would guess he gets off by arguing with people and this isn't the only place on the net he does it.

I have come to enjoy most of MSU158's comments on here. Odd for me saying that after I used to ? his validity as a Hawk fan. Gablefan73 just likes to attack people here. No thanks

I always just figure if a guy comes on here, he has has to know that there are two kinds of wrestlers on the planet. Those that grind from whistle to whistle, that don't backup, have heavy hands and wear black and gold, and then there are all the rest. The same goes for fans. Iowa fans would not flit around on another team's board and share tales of how if Zaine couldn't win it it would sure be nice if Brandon did.

FWIW, I am interested in reading good stories about wrestling, in particular, stories that have an Iowa angle, but not strictly limited to that. Post away I say.

As far as I'm concerned Mr. & Mrs. Steiber did one hell of a job raising their kids. I won't openly cheer for a Buckeye in any sport, but if I have to choose between Hunter Steiber and several other guys not named Sorensen, I'm going with Steiber every time. Thanks for sharing.

I'm with you in that sense, MSU...if it's not Sorenson, I'm good with most other 149ers not from PSU. :)

I have serious doubts Stieber will be able to get back to where he was before his tommy john surgeries. tOSU will need points at 149 to take the team title. I'd wonder if they'd pull Hayes RS if Stieber is not able to compete.

Hayes is 41 not 49 and not a very big one either.

If they didn't think he'd be able to contribute Micah would've just went 149 instead of cutting down to 141 Ryan made the recent moves with the team based on what he's seeing out of Hunter
 
not a big fan of the streiblers purely because who they wrestle for. they are probably decent guys.

My other tOSU question and it may be a dumb one, but Myles Martin isnt related at all to the 197 Martin is he?

I have no problem with folks posting stuff or info on other teams on here. The more knowledge and wrestling talk the better. Saves us from going to other sites. Nobodies eyes are being held open like clockwork orange and forced to read anything they dont want.

As for the question, this year Tshirt because of his sister and Alex is still Hawkeye Family as far as im concerned.
Last year I was really pulling for Houdashelt if it wasnt Sorny. Houdy grew up wanting ot be a hawkeye, wanted to come here too but was told that Iowa already had there guy. Think it was Carew at the time. maybe Jake Ballweg not 100% sure who roadblocked him . regardless Houdy respected Iowa very much and it was a lifelong dream for him to wrestle in Carver. I can respect that. Water and Miklus antics, not so much but they are kids.
