79kg for Alex. I wonder if the cut was really getting hard on him his senior year? He seemed "off" all season as far as his domination. His tank seemed fine yet though.
 
Anyone have update on this. I went to the site and it has a mat A and mat B but no video on the live site. Maybe it starts later today. Hope to watch these Hawks today.

Women are competing today. Schedule is 3:30a-1p central time. Streams must not be working. Hopefully they will be fixed by tomorrow. Men’s freestyle is tomorrow, same time, 3:30a-1p central time.

57kg Cosme lost to Czech and France
76kg Kennedy Blades beat Canada, lost to Kazakhstan, lost to Germany
50kg Jimenez beat France, Canada, Poland, has Nigeria next
50kg Shilson lost to France, beat Switzerland, lost to Canada
68kg Molinari beat Germany, lost to France, has Bulgaria next

Based on the brackets and I’d assume projected start times.

65kg (Lugo) on mat A starting at 3am.
79kg (Marinelli) on mat A starting at 4:52am.
61kg (DeSanto) on mat B starting at 5am.
70kg (Chittum) on mat A starting at 9:16am.

Lugo wins his first match, 8-0. Must have gotten the fall since it ended early.

I’ve never heard of the country “Guinea-Bissau” before. Only a population of 2 million.
 
Marinelli up now against a wrestler from Georgia. Georgia gets put on the clock. Alex with the post single but Georgia fights it off. Clock expires. 1-0 Alex. A lot of hand fighting and collar ties in the middle of the mat. First period ends. 1-0.
 
Second period. Desanto vs Nahshon Garrett on Mat B starting now. Garret with a lightening quick TD and a roll. Leads 4-0. Georgia gets a TD on Marinelli. 2-1.
 
Garrett up 10-2 end of 1. Second period. Desanto with a double leg m, Garrett tries to roll him over the top but goes to his back. 4 point move for Desanto. 10-6.
