HWC Henri Deglane Grand Prix France

Strong kid. Down 5-1, pushout, takedown, gut for three turns and even when he gave up the leg late, he horsed Belgium over for another exposure.

Looks like they have true wrestlebacks for 3rd - not the stupid repechage rules where the guy that beat you has to make the finals to wrestle back for 3rd. Still two 3rd place winners though. Huge improvement IMO.

Yep to all of the above.

The amount of stoppages really hurt Chittum as well. His pace was wearing on his opponent in the 2nd. Too much down time that allowed for recovery.
So much gamesmanship (lungers) in international freestyle.

Chittum kinda gave that away. Got crazy earlier in the second trying the jump over the guy and gave up a cheap 2 then came back anyway and took the lead by 2 and just needed to move his feet but let the guy in and gave up a cheap exposure. I thought he should have had 1 reversal but when it's in the judges hands you're rolling the dice.

Yup...has to stop pushing on the the opponent with a lead and 20 secs left. Like the aggression, just needs to temper it a bit.

Solid workman like win for Lugo. He is just so solid. If he can avoid those funky wrestlers, he is really hard to beat.

Nice comeback for Cody. Was down 5-1 at the break I believe and came back for the 16- 5 tech. Showed a big gas tank and some serious horsepower.
Great credentials for Cody. I didn’t see his match but sounds like Hawks may have their next “Desanto”🤞

Nice to see the HWC have a great showing against very good (but not great) competition.

DeSanto 1st
Lugo 1st
Marinelli 2nd
Chittum 3rd

It seems like these guys are kind of built for freestyle from neutral - now if they can get better mastery of exposure/par terre.

Thanks for all your help on mat assignments. It was helpful for us that had to go back and find the bouts after the fact.

Did anyone else see DeSanto getting warned for his triceps grip in the final against Mack? Grip too strong for the international game 😂😂😂

Wish I could access that awful site.
I haven't been able to access the board from my phone but there's apparently a way to do it. Has that been your problem, also, Gobblin? It seems to work pretty well for me from a Mac or PC.

They're very open to feedback, so if there are other aspects of the site that you'd like to see improved, feel free to let them know (or let me know and I can pass them along) and I'm sure they'll address whatever issues you bring to their attention.

It’s wild. I log in, do some reading, then it boots me off and won’t take the log in I literally just used. Extremely frustrating for myself and quite few others.

I haven't had that problem, but I'll make sure Chad is aware. Thanks for the feedback, man! If you have more, please holler.
