It's a crowd into the game instead of reading, knitting or pretending to be chairs. We aren't used to that, haha.

Yes. Nebraska football fans are commonly Creighton or Kansas basketball fans.
Creighton I can almost see since their in a weird conference and Nebraska doesn't have a basketball team.
Rooting for KU would be bizarre.
They were playing a B1G school in a neighboring state. Probably tired of hearing about Iowa and Iowa State.

Hes not making it up. When I lived there my roommate freshman year was a local. We were both big into sports so we'd have people over for games all the time. I was bewildered when basketball started that none of them gave a shit about Nebraska basketball when they were so intense about football. And even more bewildered they pledge their allegiance to a different team IN THE SAME CONFERENCE. As the season went on I realized it was not an isolated thing. The whole area is like that.
Not sure what that has to do with supporting their team. We have a top 16 football team and I'm guessing students will be gone by the middle of the 3rd quarter and many other fans gone by the 4th. Our fans *can* be really loud but we are pretty fair weather... even when we are good.
Creighton crowd is a weird mix of Big Red Bro/Trailer Trash types and Well-heeled blue haired Catholics and they all love to boo and hiss especially when an opponent has the audacity to get injured and black out on the court.
