It’s been a tough season but dammit, the guys played hard all season…and credit to all involved…. From the top down.
They came out and played hard every game. They never gave up. They never gave up on each other. That is a credit to the coaching staff and the players.

This is essentially Fran's version of the 1999 Sweet 16 run with Tom Davis being a lame duck coach.
Unlike pros where if team is struggling hope to lose for good draft pick. Never hope Iowa losses ever.
This. I can be happy for the team that they won today and can participate in the Big 10 tournament, but my feelings about Fran and the program remain unchanged.
Somehow that memory of T. Davis' last team run was a whole lot more satisfying. Knowing that B Bowlsby's brain fart was the beginning of a long tedious decline in men's BB tournament success. He couldn't leave quick enough. MORON!!!
Played hard today so I'm happy the team gets another chance, but this will probably be a short-lived window.

I agree. It's been a long, difficult season for a variety of reasons. Iowa could have packed it in, but they didn't. So regardless of what people think of the coaching, the talent level, or whatever, you can't question these kids' effort. Going into a full house in Lincoln and winning easily is a testament to never giving up, and that's one helluva an important quality in anything.
So congrats to the Hawkeyes for a great win, and good luck in the BTT.
We've dissected the coaching situation and the program's future plenty. For now, let's just be happy for this scrappy bunch of Hawkeyes. The rest will take care of itself soon enough.
It took about 60 hours, but Fran and the boys finally cashed in on Marge's 'words of encouragement' from the other night.
I am always happy for a Hawkeye win.
What's sad is we have people on here who, for a while now, have been rooting for Iowa to lose EVERY GAME. Simply pathetic.
As disgruntled as a vast majority of fans are with Fran, there aren't a whole lot of fans genuinely wanting to watch their team lose. Those players are all Hawkeyes who spent a majority of the B1G season overmatched. It was great to see them pull this one out in Lincoln and live for one more game. They will have something to feel good about, and Fran's fate will not change.
I think that is only a handful and the motivation is they want Fran gone so the program can move on from era of meh.

I was quite pleased to see them win. I like Braun story a lot. Too bad he didn't have another year. Looks to be finding his place and
he's better defender/plays harder on defense than Freeman did.

Glad to see Iowa play well, and it’s a good win. But in the end, we have to evaluate where Nebraska is as a program.
Agree. Add to the win, we're talking about one game. Things are not going to magically turn around. This was a win against a bad team.
Think his seat is or could get warm starting next year. 6 years and 1 tourney berth that was last year. Still a program with 0 ncaa wins so bar is pretty low. But big collapse this year with a roster full of 5th yr starters. Fred always active in portal so no clue how their roster will following year but miss again and natives will be restless in Lincoln.
Also don’t know any husker bball fans to gauge this. Maybe timing isn’t great to ask after his season high today. But little surprised his son Jack started and looking at season stats and minutes he played lot of games avg 3.5 ppg 1.9 ast in 22 min a game. Basically think complaints with Fran’s boy here amongst fan base if it’s the same at nebby where his son playing more than he probably should’ve.
