The departure of Creighton and Wichita State hurt the MVC image.
The best TEAM won this game! Good players executing their coach's game plan playing as a team equals a WIN. I would love to see Krutwig and Garza dueling it out.
Look, the Hawks might lose tomorrow. I hope they win and if they don't I will be VERY down. But, it would we SO MUCH WORSE to see the Hawks lose tomorrow and know that the Freaking team to the East moved on.
As I have said MANY TIMES, the Crying Illini are the ONLY team (and that includes Wisconsin) that actually had players comment to the Media that they HATE ALL THINGS IOWA!) Screw them and the ugly horses the rode to Indy on!!!! Slap the floor with that losers!!!!

I hadn’t thought about this, but I think it’s true. Illini did seem like a cocky team. Which isn’t a bad thing necessarily, but it can lead to being blindsided like they were today. What I now appreciate more than ever about Iowa is how grounded they are. Luka Garza is perhaps the most kind, humble and self-aware college basketball star of the past 50 years. He sincerely seems like he’s from a 1950s movie. The entire team seems to follow his lead. And while JBo is using his platform to advance the convo on college athletics, he’s earned the right to be a lightning rod. This team is mentally strong.
If you think their horses are ugly wait until you see the mugs on every player on the Illini team.
Hands down Illinois was the ugliest team in CBB this year. Maybe ugliest team ever assembled in CBB history.

I actually think Iowa seeing some of the other B1G teams lose is to their ad advantage. Should keep you on your toes. I think the Hawks have the advantage having played and gotten the first game jitters out. Oregon being off for awhile may really hurt them

08....I know for me. I have neve said we would win tomorrow. In fact, I said in my earlier post that we absolutely could lose. But, if you think the other fan bases...especially those from Illinois won't throw shade at us (win or lose) you are mistaken. I am going to enjoy today as long as I can.
What I hate is beta males like you. Illini fan base are the biggest shit talkers I have ever met. BTT they were chanting during our game, “we want Iowa.” They are ignorant cocky losers!
