I hope Ferentz doesn't go all-in with Daniels again now

I am just pleased that Wadley seems to have put his fumble problem behind him. The Hawkeyes have 3 very good running backs and a 4th who can bring a great combination of power and pass catching ability to the table when needed. Kudos to the Iowa OL yesterday also. They needed to protect CJ and they did not allow a sack all day and provided some pretty good run blocking.

Fresh legs in November is a great thing to have.

I don't think a RB rotation hurts like a QB rotation can, I see it as way more of a benefit in keeping guys fresh and limiting their hits.

You can also see whom might have the "hot hand" or just have a style that is most effective against a particular D.

100% agree with this

Again I like Daniels he is a hard dedicated worker but the Iowa run game struggles when he is in a lot of the time. Telling stat for this game is after Wadley went down Daniels had 14 carries for 42yds for only a 3.0 avg per attempt. Plus Iowa had two drives stall out when Daniels failed to pick up a 3rd and 1 and a 3rd and 2. It puts more pressure on the Iowa O because D's know he isn't a threat on the outside nor is he a threat in the pass game.

With Wadley being as effective as he has been, and Canzeri coming back this next week, this is a non-issue. The only reason Daniels got the bulk of the carries down the stretch is because Wadley got a little banged up and the coaching staff wanted to be cautious.

My prediction is that Canzeri will be #1 on the depth chart next week, and Wadley #2 (it may flip if the coaches want to ease Jordan back in a bit), and Daniels will slide to #3.

The Wad was obviously still nicked up. What a great problem we have with all these guys.... 4 horsemen

It's a great problem to have several backs who are capable of averaging over 5 yards a pop.

Hopefully Canzeri and Wadley continue to heal up .... it will be nice to have an explosive complement to Daniels.

No he was wrong and it wasn't new Daniels it was "healthy Daniels". There's a reason he was named the starter out of camp.

Was kidding..... He clearly hasn't been right. Seemed like he was running on 1 leg. Looked awesome tonight.

Yeah I like this kid but he just gets too many carries. Would love to have seen Mitchell get some more this game. Daniels had something like a 3.4 avg today against one of the worst D's in the country. He also offers nothing in the pass game.

It would have helped if the line would have blocked for him and not having to constantly dodge defenders in the backfield!

Daniels was electric today- the one area I think the coaches really let him down was running him out of the single back. My dad and I were both pleading for a fullback I formation on the final drive and the first play we do it, the fullback blocks the line backer, and Daniels breaks it for 51 yards to the house. He needs more runs out of the I formation.

We have three good runningbacks who can take carries every down in Daniels, Canzeri, and Wadley and also a good third-down back in Mitchell.

I'm so happy that Weisman is gone.

Yeah, All the guy did was bust his ass and take a beating for the team on every snap of the ball, What an embarrassment to the program:confused:

So now we have a RB controversy, instead of QB one.?

Maybe someday you will understand football.
