I just got an interesting email from the district regarding changes in federal immigration policy

It’s basically a step-by-step guide on what to say and do if ICE officials show up now that schools are no longer protected from immigration enforcement

Good times.
Why were schools being “protected” from the law being enforced in the first place? Sounds like the lawlessness that you profess to despise.

If they’re not illegal aliens, they have nothing to worry about. Just like when the drug dogs come, only the druggies have to worry.
They're kids for Fs sake, they did nothing wrong and they certainly haven't committed any violent crimes. If you want to deport the whole family, pick them up at home before or after school.

It’s apparently important to traumatize them as much as possible. See, it’s not much of a deterrent unless they’re scared to death and crying.

what’s wrong with just rounding them up at school and reuniting them with their family in a detention center?

I would add that it's just delicious watching leftwing ideologue public school teachers and administrators complain about school funding, lack of resources, teacher pay, etc..., while at the same time the politicians/policies that they support, lead to these very issues.
You being a heartless asshole about this and enjoying the misery of 2 different groups of people is not surprising at all.

A lot of my students would be traumatized by seeing ICE agents arrest some of their peers in the middle of class.

I am not whole heartedly against deportations, but barging into schools are going to **** a lot of kids up seeing classmates get pulled out and treated like dangerous criminals.

Of course. I was being facetious. It’s awful

It’s cruel as well as scary to their classmates, but then again cruelty is the point of this administration.
I'm starting to get a little worried... isn't this how Mexican Joker is created??

And what are the odds of them getting their targets with 100% accuracy and being right on who they’re targeting? How long until some legal kid citizen in every respect goes missing into the abyss after a school raid?

You think they weren't traumatized being dragged across South America by their parents then swimming the river into America. Any parent who made the trip with the kids should be jailed for child abuse then deported.

That's because ICE is the modern day Gestapo.
I just think they can accomplish their objectives without traumatizing adolescents and children.

And for the glib posters posing this question for whatever purpose: Yes, I think ICE agents would disturb schools if they felt justified in doing so. You don’t put a condom on unless you intend to **** and you don’t change a law of this caliber without plans in place to take advantage of it.

But, yeah, Trump would never allow something like that to happen. Just like he would never contest the results of a free and fair election, spend weeks stoking fears about a stolen election that led to ragtag neanderthals attacking the Capitol, and he would absolutely participate in the peaceful transfer of power. Oh, and Trump would most definitely respect the Constitution with respect to issuing an EO and he nor his followers would ever entertain the idea of a third Trump term.

So, yeah, ICE entering a school seems completely far fetched. 🤦
