I'm having a meat loaf, sour cream noodles and plain green beans for all day while watch the NFL and the Iowa Women today/tonight. It occurred to me that because I like these simple foods I grew up with that I must be a poor.
I just put a meat loaf in the oven. Does that make me a poor?

You’re only poor because poor you has to wait a while before it’s done. Meatloaf is the food of gods. Anyone that disagrees can GFY and fight bar.
Sometimes I'm just in the mood for meatloaf and mashed potatoes and absolutely nothing else will satisfy the craving
Eat that stuff with pride. A good meatloaf beats many other fine dining options.
For me, best part is meatloaf leftovers after it sits in the fridge overnight. Slice of meatloaf on fresh toasted rye bread with sharp cheddar melted and a little sandwich spread is heavenly.
Do you cook a layer of ketchup on top of it until it gets to a fruit roll-up consistency? Sometimes when no ones looking I steal some of the extra ketchup like some that steals frosting from a cake.
We got an air fry for Christmas and have been doing meat loaf and air fyer fries quite a bit recently. Awesome meal with a salad.
Incidentally, prepping the fries is a pain but you can prep a large batch and go straight from fridge to fryer! Who knew???

I like to heat the sandwich in a toaster oven to give the edges a bit of crustiness.

Absolutely not. I'm not poor and I love meatloaf. In fact the gas station deli down the street from my office makes a great meatloaf on Tuesdays I get often for lunch. So I do one of the most poor things you could do - get meatloaf from a gas station.
