Do you cook a layer of ketchup on top of it until it gets to a fruit roll-up consistency? Sometimes when no ones looking I steal some of the extra ketchup like some that steals frosting from a cake.

Not a poor, meatloaf is a solid meal.

That said, I assume you use a mixture of burger, pork, and veal, mold it into a loaf and bake it on a sheet. If you just used burger, put it in a “meatloaf” pan and basically poach it in its own juice we need to have a talk.

For me, best part is meatloaf leftovers after it sits in the fridge overnight. Slice of meatloaf on fresh toasted rye bread with sharp cheddar melted and a little sandwich spread is heavenly.

Agree with pork being at least part of the blend,... Using a sausage product adds flavor.

I make 2 loaves when I make meatloaf. One is beef and pork the other is pork and lamb.

I cook mine in a roasting pan soit doesn't sit in the drippings.
