I just received confirm of 2 tix to Rose Bowl. Not sure of section yet.

I have 123 points. I checked Stub Hub...prices seem to be in upper 400-500 range. I won't know where the tickets are located until next week. I'll ask for less than stubhub (not TOO greedy)

With 123 points they are end zone seats. Check the price on the e-mail - $150 is end zone.

According to my email, the cutoff was 31 points, so many of the season ticket holders are likely to have gotten at least what their level allowed. By the way, the cutoff for parking was 143.

I have to ask, why aren't you going to the game? Didn't get as many tickets as you requested, plans changed, or requested them just so you could sell them for a profit?

And there is your answer.

I have no issue with trying to turn a profit, but it is funny when these posters want go dodge the question...because they feel bad about doing it.

Because I was curious, there could be lots of reasons (didn't think you would get tickets & didn't make travel plans, now they are too expensive; already bought tickets elsewhere thinking you wouldn't get them from the university, etc.). It matters to some because if you bought them with the explicit intent to resell, and others did as well, you may be depriving Hawk fans that can't afford secondary market prices and were just below the cut from getting face value tickets and going to LA to support the team.

Ok, ok...let's be friends. I ordered tix for a buddy who is not season ticket holder...I had/have no plans on going to the game. I told him I didn't think there was a chance in hell I'd get them (earlier I heard point cutoff was 150). He now can't go (work related issues). So, yep, I'm selling them at a profit...still well below stubhub...but a profit nonetheless. So...no hard feelings?

Fair enough, you have every right to do that and as I suggested earlier it sounds like it's due to plans changing (for your buddy). I do wonder where StubHub prices will go over the next day or so due to a fair number of Iowa fans who didn't expect to get tickets through the university and bought some elsewhere, and are now finding out they did get tickets. We may see at least a temporary drop in prices on the secondary market in the short term, who knows.

I'd be going to the damn Rose Bowl if Hawk fans didn't deprive me of face value airline tickets. Should I bitch about that?
WTF are you talking about?

Never mind, I didn't pay close enough attention to who posted this. Carry on.

I am curious too. A LOT of Hawkeye fans wanted to tickets so they could go to the game. Are you saying you wanted tickets so you could make a big profit off of your fellow Iowa fans?

I live in CR area, didn't think I'd get tickets so paid north of $1,600 for mine. I did get tickets so if family decides not go, I may have two. Will post next week when in hand if they are available.

I have no problem with this. I hope next time you try to buy scalped tickets at Kinnick you get screwed. Karma is a bitch, especially when you hose over your own fan base....

****disclaimer: i got 2 extra & sold them at face

I got tix, but if I didn't, I'd just buy off Stubhub with what Iowa fans are trying to get. Secure site, on time delivery and protected. There's no protection on here or craigslist and the prices are similar.
