IMO, DT is probably the last position on the field I worry about. Whether we're talking about "true" DTs like Carl Davis or converted players like Mitch King or Jonathan Babanieux, DT is very rarely a problem area. Where we've had our asses handed to us is in recruiting "true" DEs ala Clayborn. Thank goodness Ott has turned out, because that little run we had after Clayborn left was brutal.
Totally get what you are saying. Daniels from Texas would be a God send, Swann would be a good get. I wanted Panasiuk in the worst way.
Last years class we got M. Slater and I believe he will play dt. Jansen from Pella will be a project but probably will work his butt off, could be a pleasant surprise.
Newborg is now slated for the oline and I was disappointed to hear this as I think he would be a great dt.
Lattimore in '16 class is going to be moved inside, IMO.
A long way off but we need Juan Harris.
I know he has interest. Hopefully, he will commit early so the coaches can feel comfortable knowing they have a solid DT in that class to build around.
He already has 2x and decommitted 2x. He's shown he's a player you probably shouldn't get too comfortable with until he actually signs his letter of intent.
