I know I know.... Cowherd on Iowa NFL Draft

What a lame grade school level troll. The funny thing is I don't know why he would even think it would cut at us as Iowa fans. All it does is serve to remind us that Iowa had an amazing year and is losing very little to the NFL for next year.

I remember plenty of 8-5 type of years where Iowa had half a dozen guys drafted. I will take 12-2 with 1 late round NFL pick everytime.

I was going to post here about how pathetic his life must be that he actually takes the time to twit that out about us. Then I realized he'd be sitting at his computer hitting refresh every 30 seconds to see how may comments on our chat boards there would be about him, so I figured I wouldn't give him the satisfaction:D. But seriously; what a douche loser.

Paid millions to reach 60,000 viewers. Fox is the one that is a joke. CC should be a local market idiot.

He knows that his schtick will get under the skin of many Iowa fans. Then, that in turn will result in hits to his website. Its all business. Most of you play right into it.

Not only this but Fox is the same network that just out bid ESPN to lure Skip Bayless away to pay him a couple million dollars. Sure they will break the bank when Stephan A Smith's contract is up to get him there.

The fact that he took time out of his day to tweet about Iowa pretty much makes us relevant.

Cowherd is a tool but I'd take it as a compliment he's still talking about Iowa

The thing to realize also is about every college team will have average to below average recruiting yrs. ND went yrs. without having players going high in the NFL draft. Texas is going through that now. Also Michigan with all those top recruits under Hoak, were still not getting there players highly drafted. Iowa has had a problem getting good recruits in the past 2-3 yrs. but the recruiting is getting better.

For Cowherd to pick on Iowa is just showing how much Iowa fans have gotten under his skin. Hawk fans should keep it up just to drive him nuts or in his case more nuts.

What does it say about Ohio State to have all of those guys drafted (12!) and STILL not even make it to the BIG championship game? I think it is a badge of honor to be a Top 10 team with exactly 1 draft choice. We're just looking at it wrong.

A way more accomplished team with much less NFL talent than Michigan, OSU, PSU, NE, etc....

To be fair, the QB that ran off after he graduated from Iowa was also drafted. There is so much talent at Iowa that KF is telling NFL caliber guys to take a hike!

It was one thing to accidentally stumble upon his tired act when he was still on ESPN and you couldn't help but tune in occasionally by mistake, but now I don't even know where a person would find Cowherd if they wanted to subject themselves to the torture that is listening to him. So if you follow him on Twitter or watch his show on FS1 or wherever he is, that's a "You" problem.

So that begs the question, which is greater? The number of Iowa players drafted next year or the number of people watching Colin's show?

The guy has a sick obsession with Iowa football.
His hatred of Iowa is good for us. Any news is good news. We will be even that more relevant on a national level due to his antics.

You know what they say about Colon Cowturd, opinions, and a-holes...

Anyway, last season according to ESPN there were 29 former Hawkeyes on an NFL roster. Not too shabby. Cowturd can blow that out his ass.

Cowherd is a funny little guy. Let him be. He's single handedly brought FS1 down to an irrelevancy. Colin is way overpaid. Colin's ratings are terrible. FS1 just hired Bayless to a big contract. Colin's days are numbered.

How much would you (anyone) pay to see a fight to the death between those two, and then they shoot the winner in the head?

I'll bring the nachos.

Cowherd is still butt hurt because the Hawks kicked down the door of his precious New Years Six fraternity last year. Can't wait to see him squirm this year when he realizes the 2016 team ain't just runnin' for the Roses and are Hell bent on winning the whole damned thing!

Has to hurt with recruiting, top recruits come to Iowa and chances are you wont be drafted, not good just saying.
I'm going to assume this was sarcastic, but just in case it was not.

That makes absolutely no sense...unless last week was the first time you/recruits have ever paid attention to the draft, and you did it in vacuum.

I would prefer recruits paid more attention to what school gives them the best chance to reach the NFL. I assume most high school kids don't formulate their entire opinion of a football program on Cowherd?

Not so sure about that. I think last year there were 33 Hawks on nfl rosters. Alabama had 36. So, drafted is one thing, making the roster is another and some come via ufa market. I think our coaching staff has a good story to tell.

Easy, there. Easy. Throttle back just a tad.

According to ESPN, it was 29. Regardless, the greater point is Iowa has a pretty high number of players in the NFL in comparison with the traditional blue blood programs. This year's draft was an anomaly compared to most years.

But obviously Cowturd's intent was not to create an overall picture of the truth.

Do you mean the 12 guys who won a National Championship, then won the Fiesta Bowl the next year? But all kidding aside, kudos to Iowa for,the past year. To be in the Championship Hunt every year you need to have NFL caliber players and get the right breaks. To make a great run here and there for a Championship you can do it with good college players and with the right breaks.
