I miss a time when getting excited on Selection Sunday was the general norm and not a wild exception to the rule.
I miss feeling as if there were line of sight to getting back to that place again.

I liked lick the day that they beat mich state like 46 to 42. The hawks played tough defense that day.
This is whom you should be missing.
I don't think Lickliter ever got beat by 40 @ home. The final score was 87 - 64 but that's only because Painter called off the dogs when they were up 38 or 39 points. Make no mistake, this was a 40 point loss!
Because no coach ever called the dogs off when TL was here.
Today was the norm under Lickliter, for three years.

I miss bitching about getting a 6 seed instead of a 4 or 5....now, Iowa fans are thrown bird seed and told to like it.

True, but he also built his own team and had Iowa in the Top 10 the 92-93 season--Raveling, and his recruited players, were long gone by then.
The loss of Chris Street was something Dr. Tom's program never recovered from.
