It's all good. I'm glad the pride and excitement has been resurrected from the basement that seem to have been prevalent for a long time. I really wish your team all the best on Saturday, albeit after having read some disparaging and repugnant posts about PSU when I offered my support of Iowa a few days ago. I'll take the higher road and say enjoy this magical season while it lasts, because you may not see Iowa repeating the same level of success for many years to come (you have better odds of winning the lottery than seeing Iowa going undefeated again). I hate to say this but if Iowa loses tomorrow, they will be quickly forgotten as if they never existed (at least to the eyes of the bowl committees). Should Iowa be fortunate enough to advance to the playoffs, well, it will be a quick exit. Things will be back to normalcy on this board again. I can almost assure you of this. You're on cloud nine right now (aka fantasy world) but earth will welcome you back to reality soon.

To the immature posters: GROW UP! Act like you've been there! Respect is EARNED, not given. When I joined my fraternity (Sigma Alpha Epsilon, aka SAE) when I was an undergrad at PSU, I learned you don't just waltz into an organization and expect to be the man right away; it takes time for things to percolate before your fellow brothers respond and appreciate for who you are based on the character, merit, charity, and courage. You know sometimes you have to take off the skirt and be a man for once. Try it, it's not too hard!

Lol. Obvious troll is obvious. Not only is this guy a troll he seems to me mentally unstable. One of his posts was about how we apparently chanted, "we are penn St" after we beat Okie St in wrestling. No idea why we would do that, guy is an idiot. And from the content of this post, a douche. He for some reason needs to make fun of a danbase online to feel good about himself. Whatever floats your delusional boat bud.

Please leave and do not come back. Seriously, you are embarrassing yourself.

You are the reason people hate you.

still - that was really great! i've never seen that. i was 9 years old when that happened, and i have a faint memory of my dad and his buddies having that game on the radio while we grilled and threw a frisbie around the year (probably some olympia and coors going strong).

some of those early hayden wins that weren't on TV (or maybe we didn't stop everything to watch games back then) are so great to see what was happening while life was happening on a normal saturday afternoon in iowa. i think prior to this, saturdays weren't known for football (other than tons of booze and the scottish highlanders).

thanks for putting that up - i'll show my dad tomorrow.

oops - not to support the OP's premise with that last post.

but seriously - if you want to say iowa football 'started' in 2002, i think you should at least say something like 1981. to me, 2002 was a return to the steam train we had going.

prior to 1981, go ahead and make fun. (i truly have no idea, but was PSU on top in the 60's and 70's?)
