One Dav North girl is going to LSU, one to Iowa.
From the limited reading I’ve done, Iowa and ISU offered early in her high school career but she made it pretty clear she planned to go out of state.
Girls High school basketball is wild. I saw last week (I think?) CR Washington beat Des Moines East 114 to 9.
Reading between the lines, she picked "sides" in the Angel Reese v. Caitlin Clark kerfuffle and landed on squad Bayou Barbie.
Must have been too busy focusing on their high school NIL instead of the actual game.

DeWitt is very well coached, play great man to man, and have a stud D2 girl who will most likely be 1st team all state. Their TEN are better than North's TEN. Walker lit North up and she's a handful even for Divine or Journey to guard.
Coaches were discussing this last night. What CRW's coach did in that game was pathetic. To put that many points up with a running clock is insane. The East kids didn't deserve what he did to them.

Yeahhhh, that's a shit ton of points. I saw that they scored 41 in the first quarter. The game was clearly over at that point. I know the scoring dropped in every quarter, I think they had 17 in the 4th. But still, that's not great on the coaches part. At some point, you've gotta start using clock.

Another CR area coach said last night they were meeting them at half court, stealing the ball and shooting layups, repeatedly. I would have sat in a 2-3 whether we played it or not.

Found the box score for the Washington game. East had 49 turnovers and 24 FGA.

Honestly, if there’s ever a situation where a top recruit had both Iowa and LSU in her top five then I would prefer she just go ahead and go to LSU. People vastly overrate enrollment size for athletic comparisons. HS kids are as transfer happy as college kids these days, which leaves a lot of these schools with "filler" enrollment.
Not necessarily. The state usually figures out the top seeds pretty easily for each region...usually 5-6 CIML teams, 2 Valley, and 1-2 from the East. Nobody respects that score.
Central is really really bad too. They had a woman who coached college the last couple of years and I think she saw that there was no way to win there. Gary Mayfield is coaching them now.
