After the 1st couple of games, I said he would be a great player eventually but wasn't ready for the BIG, and should not consume too many minutes. I WAS WRONG, kid has grown so much in the last 1/2 dozen games, truly amazing, and deserves to play even more. He should probably be a starter, but plays a great role, and problem to defend, coming off the bench.

He was raised right. He probably tell you himself he doesnt need to start and just wants to help the team win. As a fan I want him to play as much as possible because I think he gives us the best chance to win games. Its easier to log major minutes if he starts, but can get plenty of time coming off the bench.

I think he is the best defender on the team right now, maybe Toussaint #2. We need him on D especially transition D. Fleet of Foot and Hand, he is.

In 2 years, assuming he does not have a breakout sophomore campaign and goes pro, our 7 deep rotation will look like this.

Murray, Murray, P McCaffery, Ulis, Perkins, Toussaint, CJ

8 guy will be Sandfort and our 9 guy will be Ogundele. That is a super athletic group and will be really fun to watch. Future is bright!

Next year we will have Nunge and possibly Weiskamp (probably go pro) and Connor back too right?

His athletic ability and especially his length is presenting a big problem for opponents. 😃

Ogundele is going to be a great center when it’s all said and done. He’s currently working with Luka and Frank and you can see he’s already trimmed some weight off.

Nunge is a soph this year, can play 2 more years even without an extra covid year.

KeMu is averaging 7 and 4. He leads the team with 1.3 steals a game playing just 15 mins a game. He is 2nd in blocks and only has 7 TO's in 12 games. Those are really good contributions and tbh more than I expected from him.

It's always nice to see someone enjoy a crow snack from time to time, but it really comes down to this - Fran knows what he is doing. He sees these guys everyday and he knows what they can do.

Same with PMac - so many here wanted him to stay on the bench this season, but in the last two games he is making solid contributions. It is rare when a guy steps on to the floor in their first D1 season and lights it up in the first handful of games.

Some wanted JBo reserved for mop-up duty  and now he is playing/shooting really well.

I'm not saying Fran is the best coach ever, but he does know what he's doing.

Sixth man.

A friend of mine is close with Kenyon and I sent him a text the other night saying how good Keegan is doing, that Kenyon must be loving life, and can't wait to see his brother get involved. He responded with "Talked to Kenyon 2 days ago. Kristopher is actually better shooter crazy thing about it but his position is loaded Kenyon said."

Yeah, Kris just happens to play the deepest position on the team. Looking forward ro seeing him play

Connor
Weiskamp
Nunge
Keegan
Patrick

all vying for minutes. would be really difficult for coach to sit two of his own kids and get the twins PT. Next year Nunge will take Garzas pt and weiskamp will move on to pro ball somewhere most likely. Kris will get his opportunity and we are excited for when that time comes.

I re-watched the Maryland game last night and it was incredible how disruptive Keegan was. Even when he wasn't credited with a steal, he got his hand on so many passes and was generally a real pain in the rear for the Terps.

Kris put a nice move on Morsell there at the end on drive to the basket. Looking forward to seeing what he adds once he gets to the floor.

I guess these guys weren't fall back recruits, huh?

Looks like his game has developed from the teachings of Dr. Tom Davis.
