What was the name if the bar next to the Englert theater, late 80's, that was kind of a heavy metal bar. Long flight of stairs up to get in. Had dime draws a lot, etc.

The Oasis? That was down the road a bit though right? By the IC PD.Tycoon?
Before that it was The Stadium.
Gunnerz?
I think this is it, but it was in the early 90s. They had the place set up well for music, and the dance floor was large, but there was very little seating. I wouldn't say it was heavy metal themed. They had a pretty wide range of music. If that is the place the OP is thinking of.Gunnerz?

Is the location in question currently occupied by Quinton’s?
