If Aaron White was on this team

I agree. What I saw out of Ulis during the Rutgers game has me excited for the future with our guards.

That may actually be why we haven't seen him since. I don't think it's possible to make JBo and JoeT happy if he takes their minutes. I've never seen a PG turn a ball over more from dribbling than JoeT, and JBo is bad on defense. Maybe Ulis is our best option vs super athletic teams?

I saw some metrics somewhere last week saying one of our best lineups is both Joe and JB together.

Honestly, the one weakness on this squad is Bohannon if he's not making shots.
This is Fran's best shot and he needs to realize, today, if JB isn't making shots he brings nothing more to the court than me.

It’s weird that following the game, Fran made a comment to the effect of “I’ve been trying to find a way to get him minutes,” and he hasn’t played since despite performing really well. I realize we have greater “depth” at PG than SG, but I’m a bit surprised Jordan hasn’t spent more time at off guard and given Ulis/Toussaint more run at PG

The one thst intrigues me is Trayce Jackson Davis. I know he seriously considered Iowa. I wonder if he has second thoughts.

Im really surprised we haven’t seen more of Jbo at the 2. Especially with CJ hurt. Makes sense to move joew to the4 and run joeT at the 1 with jbo at the 2. Run jbo off screens trying to free him up. Even if he isn’t getting shots up, the defense is going to have to honor him.

You could definitely do that, but it might kill your rebounding with Joe, JBo and Connor in there.

I'm surprised you guys can't see the weak link is Connor. It's been the case all season. I guess nobody noticed the two good B1G wins we had where Connor's minutes were limited. He can't rebound, defend, or shoot. Defenses collapse due to not guarding him. JBo brings way more than Connor because they have to guard him out to half court. They can both pass. Neither defends well. It kills the team when Fran brings 3 new guys in and leaves Connor. We are even worse if Connor gets an early foul because then he gives up layups all game.

Connor should be the 9th man in. Murray should be starting, and Patrick should be getting the majority of Connors minutes. We will not make the sweet 16 or better unless Connor gets less than 10 minutes, and Fran abandons his 2 foul rule with Garza and Murray.

Hey, guys. The player with the 2nd best assist to turnover ratio in the country is the REAL problem.
He's passing to the NCAA player of the year and 3 of the best 3 point shooters in the country. JT turns the ball over but he also creates 10x the TO's on the defensive end as Connor. Is that not worth anything? I'm not a Connor hater. Last years team was better with him on the court. Our talent level increased this year, and his limitations haven't improved. A huge hole on defense. His rebounding is atrocious. Patrick and Kegan are the future. I would actually play Perkins, Ulis, and maybe the other Murray ahead of Connor for what this team has.

Ask yourself if there was a school yard draft with the other coaches where Connor would be drafted. I don't know that he would be picked in the top 10 players on our team. Every coach in the conference would grab Jbo ahead of Connor. If you can't admit that then you can't be objective. Garza, Murray, JW, CJ, and JBo would be ahead of him every time. Nunge, JT, Patrick, and Perkins would probably be picked ahead also. Connor isn't going to rack up assists on a bad team.

Look how good we did when he was out. Didn't JBo rack up double figure assists one game? Passing to the best player in the country is gonna let you pile up the assists.

Not a lot different than the starting lineup, CJ doesn’t get a lot of rebounds. Really all you’re doing is replacing CJ with JoeT and sliding jbo to the 2. I really don’t see any difference in the rebounding. Now CJ being healthy is a different story

Aaron is 28 years old ... I wonder what classes he would take? :)

You really don’t understand the game of basketball do you?

You’re so stupid, you’re hurting my brain.

Jeezus, wasn't Aaron White in the 2011 class?

But yeah, OP, Iowa might be a little better. While we're at it, let's add Adam Haluska, Roy Marble, and Jarrod Uthoff, and I'll say Iowa would be national champions.

Hell, skip all those guys, add a healthy Ronnie Lester, and Iowa's running circles around Gonzaga for the National Championship.

3=0 in conference play when Connor has limited minutes. He can't shoot, defend, rebound, or get assists if Luka and the other starters aren't in the game. Does anyone think there is a Conference coach that would pick Connor over Garza, JW, CJ, JBO, JT, Nunge, Murray, or Patrick?
