Nope. The red line was the result of the performance showing he was likely going to lose the election, not the performance itself. Everyone knew he was mentally incompetent yet the left and media denied it, covered it up, and fully planned on running him again. It wasn't until they knew he couldn't win that they cut him loose and people stopped supporting him.
