Iowa can and likely will jump Northwestern in bowl pecking order (stronger brand), but they lost the division fair and square. The Cats went 5-0 against the West. Iowa went 4-2.

Both teams don’t have the firepower to beat Ohio St.

They beat us. They probably shouldn’t have but it’s what it is....again. Unfortunately we just need to swallow it and worry about whatever game they give us next. This defense is shaping up to be very special. Hope we can roll it into next season. Pretty great coaching job thus far with the way things have gone in the offseason. Jmo.

Eyeballs on the television account for something. Most bowls, if given a choice, will take Iowa.

Iowa has a punchers chance at New Years Six right now. Could have used a USC loss today. Hopefully Miami falls below Iowa as UNC likely jumps us. Likely only one group of 5 team makes New Year Six. If Iowa beats Indiana and OSU beats the crap out of Northwestern we jump both teams. Loser of Big 12 will fall below Iowa. Florida will drop below Iowa after Alabama takes them to the woodshed. We need to beat Indiana. I like Iowa's chances. I think a lot of people will perceive Iowa as the 2nd best B1G team at this point in the season if we beat Indiana and OSU handles Northwestern.
