I'm not pro car jacker, but most Americans vastly overrate their ability to handle a firearm. Handle it in a crisis and the proficiency plummets. The vast majority do not train regularly, or add in some tactical training. The shooter was pumping out bullets with another car directly opposite of him. He had no awareness once the truck backed off.

Shooter is dead. And you are correct regarding gun proficiency. It’s stupid easy to get a gun in this country and not know how to use them. I’ve spent many hours at gun ranges to ensure I am capable. Most people don’t take the time to train themselves, which is probably the case in this situation.
