If the officiating

Y'all need to just drop drinking the "officials screwed us bevause they hate Iowa" koolaid and just realize that sometimes the better team wins.

At no point should we have even been within a touchdown of Penn State because they were much, much better than us. Give kudos where they are do and for the love of everything holy stop blaming the refs for once. Good game PSU! We'll get a chance for redemption sometime!
Iowa's defense did a great job in the red zone. I've watched a lot of great defenses do that, for the Lions. I was pissed off by our offense, but appreciate great team defense. Iowa played great situational defense.

They didn’t even review the biggest call of the game. That ball was not moving until the arm was moving forward. Not putting it under review was disgraceful.

That's what I thought when I first saw the play, but when they showed it in slow-motion, it was pretty clear the call was correct.

I believe that just because they don't stop the game and have an "official review" doesn't mean they don't/didn't actually review it. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I think the review official can watch a play and if he feels it's a good/correct call then they just move on without him buzzing down to the game official to stop the game and officially review it more closely. I thought the fumble call was correct. It seems not only did the replay official believe this but so did the ABC officials analyst as well, so I would think that lends credence to the call being correct. Same thing for the overturned PSU interception. I was surprised that the Barley run where his knee may have possibly touched wasn't reviewed. I still haven't seen a slowed down, blown up version to conclude one way or the other if he was down or not.

The biggest call of the game?

Was it bigger than the INT? Was it bigger than Barkley's knee being down at the PSU 36 and allowed to continue on until the Iowa 33?

The call was among a dozen or so big calls and regardless of a review or not, it was called correctly on the field. Unlike the two plays mentioned above.

They missed a few calls on both teams but Barkely's knee being down was maybe the biggest non call they missed. However, Iowa still had a chance to win that game.

I have notice in all the games Iowa has played so far that the refereeing has been very inconsistent not only game to game but throughout the game.

At the time, yes. The bigger point here is it could have easily gone the other way and would have altered the complexion of the game. I saw both teams getting and not getting calls.

Got to take care of the game so the refs can't play a role in it. I thought the crew did an okay job, not their best effort. Their PI calls were sketchy. Missed a lot of holds both ways.

Also missed an OLINE men downfield on PSU 1st or 2nd drive. But other than that the block FG was correct (can leap if on the LOS). Also the fumbles and int were called correctly. The only thing was the knee down. The replay official botched that one, not the guys on the field.

Overall it was a good game.
