If you make a campaign promise in Mexico, you’d damn well better keep it

Jorge Luis Escandón Hernández, mayor of the southern Mexico village of Las Margaritas, promised to repair a road during his campaign. He has not followed through on that promise, so a few disgruntled local residents took him to task for it.
