If you need more of a reason to vote for Bern

Of course he did. How the hell do you think he is going to provide all the free crap he is promising? Not a socialist? No he is isn't, he is a certifiable communist, comrade.

I really hope the Democrat party nominates this yahoo just so he can expose himself and the Democrats for what they are. Progressives? Ha!

Free everything for everyone! Unless you have a job, then you must share with all those less fortunate!

This is a bizarre debate. The questions not going to all of the candidates, tons of commercials, moderators are kind of pompous, and it has a weird mood about it.

I mean how does the FBI encryption question not reach Clinton, and Bernie had to add to the question despite being asked another question.

He just said the middle class would have to see some taxes raised to accomplish some things during a political debate. Yes, raised not lowered. No bs, no lies no pandering to votes.

It's amazing to watch a politician tell Americans things they don't want to hear.

As a middle class guy, I really appreciate that. He's won my vote. I thought the rich were gonna soak all this shit up though.

At least he was an honest communist. Democrat = progressive = socialist = communist. All the same to me. If the dems win the WH but not the house or the senate, then none of their plans will see the light of day. So a vote for a Dem is the same thing as a vote for accomplishing nothing in the next 4 years.

Isn't that good? I mean, according to most of the far rightites, the government shutdown and constant gridlock is the best we could hope for. Or, is it different now and Ted Cruz is an idiot again?

Are you against public education? Medicare?

Gridlock is a good consolation prize if a Socialist wins the WH.

Why can't we just cut spending? The middle class is already struggling. Why would you hurt them even worse?

In this scenario Bernie is talking about doing away with health insurance bills as he moves us to single payer and saving people thousands a year.

How are you saving thousands of dollars by adding a middle man? And on top of that, it's a middle man that has no incentive to work efficiently, and actually gets rewarded for not being efficient?

You are removing the profit driven middle man who has been raising prices year after year.

Even if that's true, and I have a hard time believing that someone is just going to end the insurance industry in this country, you're taking a away a middle man who was forced to work efficiently, in order to stay solvent, and you're adding a middle middle man who gets rewarded for not being efficient. That still doesn't help matters.

Then, on top of that, you have to raise prices to help with all the people who don't pay into the system. How is this going to be cheaper?

but adding the feds as one. removing the ins. co. adding feds. see, single payor is by no means single payor. it's millions of people getting raked over the coals, in the name of welfare. millions payors.

We have plenty of single payer systems around the world to take ideas from.

we are already seeing it with the aca: it's a disaster. the sick people are signing up. everyone's premiums going up. adding everyone to fed welfare is just begging for trouble which is why Obama never did it: medicare is broke. why make it broker?

yes, and they are all horrible. and broke. and they tax the heck out of the people. look to Canada , where they used to come here to America for care, until the aca screwed up America.

Yeah, you have people who can't go see the dentist in the UK because their dentist only works eight or nine months a year, because they've hit their quota and they don't make any more money. You have people coming down from Canada for medical treatment.

Let me ask you this. If things are so much better in these countries, then how come those people come here at a much higher rate than we move to there?

The bottom line is that this is going to cost more money, and therefore put more strain on an economy that's been depressed for over a decade now. Your whole point of Sanders raising taxes to pay for this should tell you that it's going to cost more. I understand that you guys want this, but you have to look at the negatives for once, and not just the positives.

no one is talking about single payor.

Bernie recently commented on sneakers and deodorant.

You can't just continue growth for the sake of growth in a world in which we are struggling with climate change and all kinds of environmental problems. All right? You don't necessarily need a choice of 23 underarm spray deodorants or of 18 different pairs of sneakers when children are hungry in this country. I don't think the media appreciates the kind of stress that ordinary Americans are working on.

Isn't that the truth. How much time do we waste every day deciding between this deodorant or that one. And don't get me started on sneakers. Really people. How many different kinds do we really need?

So, he's advocating that we be allowed one kind of deodorant and one kind of sneakers?

Why not one kind of suit?

The Hardcore Communist Past of Bernie Sanders

Hoover Institute fellow Paul Sperry reports for NyPo:

Rewind to 1964.

While attending the University of Chicago, Sanders joined the Young People’s Socialist League, the youth wing of the Socialist Party USA. He also organized for a communist front, the United Packinghouse Workers Union, which at the time was under investigation by the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

After graduating with a political-science degree, Sanders moved to Vermont, where he headed the American People’s History Society, an organ for Marxist propaganda...

In the early ’70s, Sanders helped found the Liberty Union Party, which called for the nationalization of all US banks and the public takeover of all private utility companies...

In 1985, he traveled to Managua, [Nicaragua] to celebrate the rise to power of the Marxist-Leninist Sandinista government. He called it a “heroic revolution.”

So he is going to choose Right Guard and Nike and everybody else will be forced to close their doors and start doing the work of the people?

This guy sounds great.

Better get a government because you know none of those will go away.

Yes & Yes.

Look at education...it's insanely expensive YET failing to produce results. Especially in the areas it's needed most.

Medicare...really our entire HC system is extremely broken. We need to put the HC spending back in the hands of consumers. Too much of HC is with OPM and nothing spends easier or less efficiently.

Maybe, but a vote for a Republican, at a minimum, pretty much guarantees WWIII. Even though nothing sucks, eventually people will get pissed off enough to vote the GOP out. If the GOP get their way, God only knows who will still be around to vote for the next thing.

Yes, there is hyperbole there but do you really think the Russians and other countries are just going to stand by while the US carpet bombs civilians?
