IL loses again

Illinois is still a physical team and will be allowed to play as such against Iowa.

We need to continue to improve on attacking the rim and not settle for so many quick outside shots (when the drive is there).

Drawing fouls is a big part of our offense.....but you can't get to the FT line if you shy away from contact on the dribble drive.......or jack up a rushed 3 after one pass into the possession.

Just sayin.

Horribly officiated game. No consistency Ticky tack Cal’s in the post. And the flagrant 1 on cockburn at the end to seal idly for Missouri was awful. Should have been a foul on the Missouri player for hitting himself in the face.

Welp.......on the plus side we won't have to worry about them passing Iowa in the Top 25 after their win at Duke.

Illinois has NO ONE who can stop Garza/Nunge. Cockburn will likely have 3 fouls in the first-half. CJ can contain DeSumo to 15-18 points. They will score on Iowa but they won't be able to stop our offense. Their defense is not better than North Carolina's.

Mizzou is a very good team and is good enough to win the SEC. Illinois had somewhat of an off night shooting (for them) from the field and free throw line. Credit Mizzous’ defense but in the end I don’t think that’ll be a bad loss for the Illini.

That’s a big rivalry game that Mizzou has now somehow won 4 in a row. Refereeing was awful for both teams. Besides Ayo they really struggled to score. Cockburn is still a beast but his skill level doesn’t look to have improved much. And his hands still aren’t great at all.

It’ll come down to which team has the better shooting night. And hopefully not due to foul situation.

I think Ayo's 36 points was the worst 36 points I've ever seen. The dude just dribbled at the top of the key, didn't find any wide open players, missed key free throws, and had untimely turnovers. That team needs a real leader and I don't think Ayo is it. Any NPOY talk is nonsense.

I will say, their freshman PG Curbello seems to be the goods. He is a true creator and spark when he's in the game. Not looking forward to playing him in the coming years
