Illinois at Nebraska 2-12-21

NEB's offense is playground selfishness - Allen, at least. "I got this. I'm gonna keep the ball and force up a shot, no matter how bad it is or how bad it will affect my team".

I posted that accidentally. This board remembers everything you write. A good trick is to cut out everything you wrote but didn't post, then preview it. Then the system forgets it. I didn't watch the whole game to make a good evaluation on the refs.

Fred will either quit or be fired after this season.

He has made Nebraska even worse under his watch.

Illinois wasn't much different in Underwood's first year than Nebraska this year. I agree with StormHawk42 that he needs time to get his players in place.

See, that's the problem, isn't it? Iowa generally plays employing the rules of the game of basketball and is called soft because of it. Other teams in the conference play by the rules of rugby and they're labelled tough. By all rights, the refs should always be on our side, but have been cowed by coaches like Izzo into letting the game devolve into a wrestling match.

Only Iowa plays by the rules. Boo hoo. lol

Cringe AF.

Fran has been in this league 11 years... you’d think he could adjust by now, no?

Interesting strategy by Nebraska at the end of regulation. Dribble in place 30ft from basket, then have a teammate come over and stand next to you (bringing his defender with him) with 5 sec left.

Illinois already has two wins over PSU, one over Nebby, one over NW, and their next game is against NW. I wish Iowa played the bottom feeders in the BIG this much!

Also why can't the Iowa/Nebraska game be rescheduled the week of week of February 22. Both teams have the week wide open.

Most Big Ten teams, including Illinois, are ranked higher in strength of schedule than Iowa.

Yeah, I was talking about Big Ten games. I'm sure Baylor, Missouri and Duke, all non-conference games, help Illinois' SOS.

Isn't this roster pretty much all his?

You can't get any dumber players than he has now so I guess there will be some improvements but hes going to rely heavily on transfers every year.

They’ll beat someone this year. They have talent and they play hard. When they add in playing together for 40 min, they’ll win some games. They’re close.

They're so stupid though.

They're never going to play with the organization of a normal team.

That was the stupidest basketball I've ever witnessed.

Illinois gets to play little Debbie twice and we likely never will play them.. We'll be lucky to finish The BIG in 4th place. Illinois has a much easier sched. We got all of our tough games on the road vs Mich,OSU,Wiscy. Screw the BIG schedulers.
