Illinois Coaching Staff

You're just as triggered as your head coach.

Maybe that's true for some of their coaches, but I thought Underwood was gracious at the halftime interview, mentioning that people just needed to quit talking and complimenting both teams on their play. On the other hand, I think the first thing Fran mentioned was something about his players not being allowed to cut. I love his passion and the way he tries to protect his players but I spent half that game thinking, here comes the T.

Agree. I thought BU's comments at half were pretty solid, starting out saying his guys needed to shut up--he was right that both teams needed to. I think the assistants are the "problem" with the questionable behavior. Maybe we should call Bruce Pearl.

Lol.

A coach's public persona can be far different than what he's like behind closed doors. I have no idea about Brad Underwood, but just because someone interviews well doesn't mean squat.

Did you see Underwood? If Fran had gone ballistic like he did a couple of times yesterday he'd have been T'd up and kicked out. Double standard just like the one on the floor. Big Ten basketball has become unwatchable. They way they let the other teams play, the arenas should be octagons.

If Illinois physically attacked people on the street they way they attacked Weiskamp and Fredrick yesterday, they'd all be in jail for assault.

Who recruited those Illinois players? Underwood and staff. They are 100% responsible for teaching them to play with their mouths and to play "defense" like street thugs. The evidence is clear. The fact that some of you ignore it doesn't alter it.

Stealing this. It's hilarious.

What Fran said wasn't half as bad as the bitching that Izzo did during halftime of our game. He didn't beat around the bush like Fran did, he blatently called out the refs, and never saw him get T'd up. Oh I know the double standard applies for Izzo......

This sort of thing always comes from the top.

And the crookedest bosses always have a public persona that pretends they’re pure class.

Rick Pitino got away with it for a longtime.

Posts like this, the thread about officiating, and the thread calling Ayo Dosunmu a thug because of the way he talks is is a bad look for Hawkeye fandom. Really bad.

Some of the cringiest boomer posting I’ve ever seen. Some of you “guys” are weak AF and should take a few days break before you post if you can’t handle a loss. Pathetic.

I don’t like Illinois, and it has nothing to do with anyone’s skin color.

Look at Rutgers: classy coach and classy players.

Illinois? The opposite of that.

I don't think anyone that's had Fran McCaffery as their coach for 10+ years, with zero results above mediocrity or worse in that span, can seriously trash another coach or athletic dept.

lol eat shit dude. Your football and basketball teams have been trash. When we have players suspended for stomping on the other team then we will talk.

I honestly dont mind the Illinois team. It's been a couple fun games to watch this year against them. I love the Rivalry we have foing right now. Hope we play them in BTT. The fact both teams could be battling it out for the B1G crown next year will be awesome.

We have beaten Illinois 5 games in a row. Its pretty hard to beat anyone that many times in a row in college basketball. I'll take this loss.

LOL, I don't think you really understand what triggered means. Signing that thing was a pure alpha move by Brad. (Only beta males think signing posters of another coach's face is an alpha move......)
Looking forward to Friday. (You want to look forward to Friday.....there's a difference, considering the reality of what will happen.)
Sure I do. Triggered means you get a desired response. I wanted to make sure you responded to my previous post, and you did......

See? It's easy.

Oh btw, I play this f***ing game daily, Illini fan. Good luck.

Sure we can. This is America, after all. Our favorite team's results do not allow or forbid us from saying whatever facts we want........like for example:

Iowa > Illinois

Now back to the main board with you to complain some more about the refs, and Gilligan complaining about the refs. ;)

Yep. Westmont. But played at Iowa and sexually assaulted at least one woman while in college. He also got protected by your coach.
And both were “dismissed” from the Iowa program and are universally disliked by Iowa fans. What is your point? Also, this was 15 years ago, which is pretty telling as far as Iowa’s disciplinary “issues” go
