I'm curious, what were some things your grandparents ate ?

Squirrel is actually pretty good.
Rabbit is very good, and is served in high end French restaurants.
You just can't beat rabbit gumbo IMO.

.....and the best part of the rabbit is the brain. I had that at a barbecue place in Spain. Same flavor as the rest of the meat but a little more intense flavor.
