Imar to stay

I think that's the best scenario. He can join the HWC after he finishes up there. Next year isn't a title contending year for us with or without him. I like the idea of Alex getting a full year of varsity competition under his belt this next season and then being able to train with IMar the following years and sharpen his game all the more.

I find Imar to be very likable. He appears to handle himself with a lot of class. Assuming an Iowa guy isn't in the 165 finals next year, I will be rooting for Imar to get his third title.
You know what they say about assuming...

He just might be too likable to fit in at the HWC, with their close affiliation and funding from the cesspool.

We like all good guys like IMar. It's the pussycats that go swimming in the septic tank that we reject.

As cool as it would have been for this year, it saves a lot of potential headaches for the future with having to sit Marinelli.

No headaches. This is Iowa wrestling and in the Gable days, you had to know that the possibility of sitting for a year was there. It also would've made Marinelli better. He'd have been battling everyday with IMar. If he knows he can score on him regularly, then he knows he can wrestle with anybody. Like Perry said, iron sharpens iron.
