In-State recruiting

How many did Iowa offers that chose ISU?
Manske,Robinson and?

Clearly a strong push by ISU instate as usually Iowa gets the Lions share of Iowa preps.
Maybe not a strong senior class in Iowa this year?

Meyer (Iowa) and Manske (ISU) are clearly the two top players. It drops off a bit from there. Thompkins OT out of Cedar Falls didn't receive an Iowa offer despite being the top OL in the class. Also of note, with the exception of Meyer, ISU got the kids from Central/Western Iowa, Iowa got the ones from Eastern Iowa.

Not concerned as long as Iowa is still able to fill needs out of state. The inroads they've been making into Florida the last couple years are encouraging.

Iowa never offered Tompkins, Curvey was a huge swing and miss as a legacy recruit to ISU. Rest of it is really a nothing burger, I've seen Mason Woods, and he certainly has huge upside. I will say the sleeper of the class IMO, is going to be Zay Robinson. If he has fully recovered has Cooper Dejean like athleticism.

Just looked on a couple of the services, 247 and On3. Not claiming these are the best most accurate rankings, just too lazy to look at more and I wanted a couple of perspectives. Their ranking of top 10 differ. I put in black bold those committed to Iowa, and in red those committed to Iowa State. Adding offer info, but always hard to tell how accurate that is as sometimes a school won't offer if they know someone is already headed elsewhere, and after others commit, an individual initial offer may no longer be commitable, but this is what I see on these sites at least.

Formatting is rough, but the first column is 247 and the second is from On3

247 On3
1) Thomas Meyer Alex Manske
2) Will Hawthorne Will Thompkins
3) Ethan Stecker Thomas Meyer
4) Joey VanWetzinga Joey VanWetzinga
5) Alex Manske Jack Limbaugh
6) Will Tompkins Will Hawthorne
7) Mason Woods Malachi Curvey
8) Jack Limbaugh Xzavion Robinson
9) Xzavion Robinson Mason Woods
10) Malachi Curvey Ethan Stecker

Of the Iowa commits, Meyer was offered by ISU, but don't see an offer on VanWetzinga nor Woods, but both of those committed in early summer. Of the ISU commits, Iowa offered, Manske, Limbaugh and Robinson, but don't see an offer on Hawthorne, Stecker nor Tompkins. Curvey is the only one of the top 10 signing with another school (Kansas) and ISU offered but don't see an offer from Iowa.

Means absolutely nothing posted as is.

If you have a top 10 and all recruits are Missouri valley level talent who cares if your rival signed most?

Hey can you find the clowns on the 247 team recruiting rankings? I can’t, they must be on the “load more” page.

Must ignore?

And Minnesota and WI get their state to themselves. Just saying.
