What cuts would you make?
Sending Iowa State Troopers to Texas?
What cuts would you make?
Oh, she's a Dim Kim flunkee, alright.
But if voters in this State can elect 1/2 Dems to Congress this cycle and remove the current GOP super majority here, there will be a move towards the middle, imo.
Newsflash, Trump never proposed cutting the budget, nor did the gop controlled house, not even as a negotiating tactic. When was the last time the R's controlled the House, and had at least 60 members in the Senate where they could force a reduction in spending?
We see it every year where the D's threaten to shut down the government if they don't get their way.
Democrats get blamed for so much crap they didn't have a hand in.Newsflash, Trump never proposed cutting the budget, nor did the gop controlled house, not even as a negotiating tactic.
Fun fact: every time the government has been shutdown, polling has laid the blame with republicans. Heck, this past year, they were having trouble negotiating with themselves in the House, even as senate republicans stood back and shouted at them how stupid they were being.
Just like we have some Republicans on here blaming the Democrats for the removal of McCarthy and subsequent trouble getting a Speaker approved.Democrats get blamed for so much crap they didn't have a hand in.

Well that took second to prove you're an idiotFun fact: every time the government has been shutdown, the liberal media has laid the blame with republicans.
But that’s not what I heard! ☺IPERS is a better deal for Iowa taxpayers than a 401k type system. It’s cheaper. Right now it is about a 1.66 to 1 match. The employer pays 1.66 times. The big factor is that you only get 1% above the current rate of a CD for your money if you pull it out early. Iowa is investing that money and getting a substantially larger return. IPERS is a good deal for Iowa.
Probably a good idea given that the state patrol is not fully staffed. The last I heard is they were 20+ under their allotted number of troopers, facing a lot of retirements, and unable to hire and train to meet the retirement numbers. And, yet, Kimmie chose to take a valuable asset that keeps Iowans safe off of the roads for a photo op.Sending Iowa State Troopers to Texas?
Clearly you have access to the internet, you can find it pretty easy. But, since you also guaranteed things to cut, I'd be curious to hear what you'd cut?Did you provide me with the entire budget?
But I guarantee I could find things to cut. There is always waste in any budget. More so in government or state run ones
You understand there are small cuts that can be made in most parts of budgetClearly you have access to the internet, you can find it pretty easy. But, since you also guaranteed things to cut, I'd be curious to hear what you'd cut?
The voucher program should be scrapped. It will be interesting to see how Nebraska's Support Our Schools ballot initiative does. Nebraskans get a chance to say no to vouchers. We will get to see how rural Americans really feel about tax dollars for private schools.Kim has been consolidating agencies in the "effort of efficiency". She is not informing people of some these consolidations. And the entire executive branch is trying to hide information from Rob Sand.
The voucher program needs to be scrapped unless it is for people below the poverty rates, even then I don't support it because special needs kids will not get brought in and money is being taken away from the public districts that will have to handle the special needs students as the private schools will not; and quite frankly can not if they wanted to provide those services now that the AES has essentially been disbanded.
Kim is full of ideas that are suggested to her by private interests and donors. I'm not quite sure she has had one original idea of her own that has substantially improved the lives of Iowans. Ripped on the federal COVID funding, then took it, and then did not spend it for her constituency. The problem is her voter base is uneducated, and don't want to be educated.
First “cut” Iowa needs to bake is to stop all voucher payments abd restore that $$ to PUBLIC schools and their respective buffets. Fund the Iowa Highway Patrol adequately And fill their 20+ current vacant patrol positions… and keep officers in Iowa to work. Third… let seniors pay income taxes on their 401/493 retirement pensions ….spare “social security” payments (if you must)…but subject by other incomes to state tax rates…(I currently have over $100k annually that is NOT subject to Iowa income tax!… why isn’t it? And I never asked for it..)You understand there are small cuts that can be made in most parts of budget
All I said that there is always waste. That doesn’t equate to making even minor cuts in education or infrastructure . It means there are probably very small things that can easily be cut in most areas. (Think onsite meetings that have gas, food and lodging expenses that can easily be cut for virtual meetings )
In no way did what I say mean I would make cuts to important areas like education, roads, public health, etc unless there are certain small things that can be cut and reallocated to more important areas within that budget)
