IN vs MSU

Just as the announcers are saying about how much offense this IU team brings to date to this game.
This IU team has NOT played an "elite" Big team, an "elite" D on the road yet. To date UM is their toughest Big road game yet.
We have to continue to remind anybody we can, we did beat this MSU team and with Valentine on the road and with that ultra friggin fast Lourawls Narin PG healthy too.
Pretty much going for IU as many folks have already said.....
Is it Iowa not playing at the same level, or is Iowa just getting everyone else's best game? Iowa is not used to playing with that bullseye yet.
Well......what's your thoughts? Pretty much what a lot of folks were thinking about your Hoosiers? You know and make sure you tell your fellow Hoosier fans and Mr. Dackich too, we beat this MSU team twice already and with Denzell and Lourawls Narin on the road. It ain't easy to do.....
Valentine wrapping up the BTPOY award today. Love Jarrod, but Valentine deserves it.
This post is straight up idiotic. I forgot that playing on the road in arguably the best environments in the BIG to two solid programs was easy.
Why are you guys saying this on 2/14?? V's a great player, I get his stats are good and before today .4 pts better scoring than Jarrod but Jarrod and this Iowa team did beat MSU twice and with Valentine in East Lansing and currently are NUMERO UNO in the conference. This means a lot folks.... MSU has lost 4 games since V has been back in the lineup and recently at Mackey where Jarrod and Iowa won the game....sorry.
Please don't take anything away from t#1 team in the league with t#1 toughest schedule too. And don't get caught up in this W today. Let the year play out...6 more games left for the Hawks. We'll see what happens?

So now that sparty slapped them down, how about purdon't finally stepping up. They are arguably the most disappointing of the favored trio(msu, pu, maryland) prior to the start of conference play. Time for them to step up and take out indy next Saturday.

Valentine isn't just leading the league in scoring. He's up ther in assists and 3 point percentage as well. A number of categories. I love Uthoff and hope he proves me wrong, but right now Valentine gets my vote.
Uthoff gets mine. And it's not close. I don't see Valentine catching him.
I get that ....I follow the stats as well as the next person and the stats between the two players are not that far off. I mean by percentage pts.
And why do you think V has a lot stats? That ball is in his hands....all the time he can impact a game. Different position than Jarrod It's why I loved playing PG or QB or Shortstop.....the ball is in my hands ...a lot. But like the good of that, V has also lost 4 games with the ball in his hands....that's the bad, imo, a Most Valuable Player where he's played and lost 4 conference games...hmmm, not comfortable with that.
Valentine does NOT get my vote if this were to be voted today but it's not so let's play this out
The lost 4 games combined with the stats you mentioned prove to me Uthoff will win it. Scoring there neck and neck. Uthoff is considered a much better defender. He's got that block thing going for him too. Hard to imagine Valentine winning if Iowa wins the Big Ten unless Uthoff really starts to struggle which is hard to imagine. Let's say both continue to play the way they have and both teams win out. People think a 2 loss Iowa team and a 5 loss MSU team, that the MSU player would get player of the year over the Iowa player. I find that hard to believe.
Valentine is a better passer,ball handler and has a better all around game, plays a more important position

Not buying what you are selling. This is a veteran starting 5 with tons of experience. They had already played this season in the top 2 toughest environments on their schedule in Hilton and Breslin. We gave up 85 freaking points to Indiana and missed 10 FTs. Comitted some dumb fouls and missed uncontested layups. We could not defend for large portions of the game. That's not a game you expect from a top 10 team.
If you look at our games starting with Maryland, our assists and made 3's are down. We had some seriously sloppy play for periods of several games. One example was the 12 minutes of the IL game after we built a 20 point lead. It may be season fatigue setting in and the pressure that comes with being highly ranked but the fact of the matter is we pummeled and a beat a team twice that is better than Indiana and no worse than Maryland.
There are ebbs and flows in a season. Just hoping the guys have something left for these last 6 games of the conference season.
Not if Uthoff turns it back on and Iowa win's B1G title. I think Uthoff hasn't had the same impact last 5-6 games he did earlier in season. But he is capable of putting up 30pts in a half.
Valentine is good though.
Better passer? yes. Better ball handler? yes. Better all around player? Offensively maybe. Defensively it's not even close. Uthoff is a far better player. Who's the better scorer? This one is really close if you ask me. Both can score in a variety of ways. Valentine's ability to play PG really helps him in this area. Uthoff has a far superior post game and has a much easier time getting his shot off anywhere on the court then Valentine. Like I said scoring they are both close and really good.
Not sure what MSU OOC has to do with Big Ten player of the year.

No, I didn't think that. I do think the football team was legit myself, but after the way the year ended I see why many in the country do not. You simply missed my point by a long way...
I was at that B1G championship game and also at the Rose Bowl. I am a Hawk through and through. But people like you dissing Indiana are no different from those that dissed our football team. That's all I am saying, and it isn't hard to comprehend...

You were flat out wrong just admit it. If you attend games not just watch them then you might have noticed the signs of fatigue. The team has been struggling after a great start because they are wearing down. That's not doom and gloom but reality. I am super hopeful they can turn it around with a week off of rest.
