Imagine if they'd put that kind of effort in all season.

As to what I'm sure will be a sewer backup on this board...

....have your fun you lemon suckers. I'm still proud of the season long improvements and results from The Iowa Hawkeyes. I'd rather be in the locker room with them right now, as sad a place as it must be, supporting them in preparation for the next game, than on here whining like spoiled two year olds.

Yeah I'm not going to give Indiana credit...........

Because f*** Indiana. That's why.

Well said. f*** Indiana. Let's take it out on the next team we play!

I wish you would come over to the wrestling forum and help us with the handful of lemon suckers that show up after any loss. Just 3 or 4 of them really spoil the whole board. They are a pathetic type of person.

Indiana was hitting deep and contested 3's all game. JoBo kept us in the game in the 1st half, needed Peter to"go off" in the 2nd half but well he didn't. Defense could have been better but no way you were stopping THAT Indiana team from scoring 85+ points last night. People forget how much talent they really have. They start 2 McDonalds All Americans for cryin out loud. We would be dancin on air to get 1 of those again!

Will Wieskamp and Patrick Mccaffery not be McDonalds All Americans?

And yet, I repeat, Indiana finished TENTH in the "mediocre" Big Ten. Talent is one thing. Winning is another. Indiana didn't do much of the winning thing, going 7-11 in the conference and losing, what, 7 of their last 9, something like that.

Last night was a helluva time for the Hoosiers to play probably their best game of the entire freaking season...

Play anywhere near that level the rest of the way and they win the conference tourney and, who knows what they do in the NCAA. Wow.

I can only offer you emotional support. I follow one sport, college basketball. And I'm still smart enough to know I don't know Jack. But I CAN recognize others who don't know Jack as well. :) And when they play the hindsight 20/20 game and go negative on a mission to spread their pain...I tend to call 'em on it.

Indiana did look very good last night, credit goes to them and their coaching staff for that. And remember, Iowa flat out let them look good. Other than a couple of good traps in the first half and a few JoBo 3's, Iowa provided virtually no resistance to Indiana's success last night.

Their bench shot 15-20 (4-5 from 3) for 35 points against us. Davis 7-7, 15 points.

4-12 for 12 points tonight. Davis 1-6, 2 points.

It is the nit doesn't matter unless it builds for next year.

why wouldnt it help build for next year? considering all of the players return with the exception of PJ...anyone who thinks this team doesnt care (not saying you do) about playing NIT games' doesnt know anyone on the team....that may have been the case with a few seniors in another coaches era...but not this team.

There are some NIT teams who go into it with an attitude they have something to prove...the games in Carver in 2013 were intense...some of the loudest crowds all year..the players didnt seem to act like they didnt care.

NIT does matter...maybe not to some fans (that's thee problem)...I would love to see the Hawkeyes get a shot of going to NIT Finals and even facing some of our 'old conference friends along the way.
