Indiana man shot dead by police had been pardoned for Jan. 6 Capitol riot

Karma????

Jasper County, Indiana is a well known liberal cesspool targeting innocent MAGA patriots.
Mrs. Lucas was born in the Jasper County Hospital. Mr. Huttle was shot less than 2 miles from one of her favorite cousin's place. I drive past the site a few times a year. I'll tip my cap to his memory on my next visit.
I cannot support your statement that Jasper County is LiBZ. It isn't a total MAGA hellhole, but you can see it from there.

will be interesting to see how many of the pardoned will be committing violent crimes. Two reason once you’ve been incarcerated hard to adjust back into society. The other some will feel they are special and the laws don’t apply to them.
Or, maybe they are just a bunch of criminals and criminals do crime stuff.

Shall we just keep this thread open for all the 1/6 terrorists who were released and are out committing crimes?
Meet Andrew Taake, he's wanted in Texas for soliciting a minor. Donald Trump's rush to pardon him allowed the BoP to release him before checking to see that Harris County, TX, had an extradition request for him. Congrats Donald, you released a guy who targets teenage girls.

Where are you at on your apology to HBOT for assuring us that Trump would not release cop beaters?

I never assured anyone that Trump wouldn't do that. I did say that I wouldn't support it.

Speaking of apologies, you were talking smack that Biden wouldn't pardon Hunter. Where's your apology?

They assassinated an innocent MAGA for sight-seeing during a traffic stop.

It’s safe to say the officers that died suffered physical trauma that feed into underlying conditions that killed them.
The riot, protest, insurrection, whatever you want to call it lead to deaths. Without that siege those men don’t die shortly after. Not calling it murder is similar to just calling Al Capone a tax cheat. It’s all the government could prove in a court of law.
How many such deaths were there?

Let's hope he meets the same end.

Probably just the first:

The man shot dead Sunday by Jasper County police while allegedly resisting arrest has been identified as 42-year-old Hobart, Indiana, resident Matthew W. Huttle, who was among those presumably pardoned last week by President Trump for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021 breach of the U.S. Capitol building.
Details are few as the shooting investigation continues, but state police said a deputy with the Jasper County Sheriff's Department stopped a vehicle around 4:15 p.m. Sunday on Ind. 14, east of County Road 475 East.
"During the traffic stop, the officer attempted to arrest the suspect when the suspect resisted," according to state police. "An altercation took place between the suspect and the officer, which resulted in the officer firing his weapon and fatally wounding the suspect."

It appears the stop was routine and the result of an alleged traffic violation, according to police.

"The investigation also shows that during the traffic stop, the suspect was in possession of a firearm," police said.

State police are leading the investigation of the shooting with assistance from the Jasper County Prosecutor's Office.
Huttle, then 40, was charged with videotaping his entry into the Capitol’s Senate Wing on Jan. 6, 2021 and walking through multiple locations inside, according to photos in court documents. The photos show security footage of Huttle on the first floor of the Capitol and screenshots of his own footage taken while inside.

He was sentenced to six months in federal prison to be followed by a year of supervised release, records show. He was reportedly released from prison July 17.

Matthew was reportedly with his uncle, Dale Huttle, of Crown Point, Indiana, during the Capitol breach.
Dale was sentenced last year in federal court to 30 months behind bars after pleading guilty to one count of assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers using a dangerous weapon and causing serious bodily injury. Dale Huttle said in court that him and his nephew were separated during the “chaos” of the event. However, Dale caused an officer to fall on a set of stairs, which led to the officer suffering from a slipped disc in his back.

Photos of Dale show him assaulting police officers with an American flag and grabbing for an officer’s baton.
Jasper County Sheriff Patrick Williamson said the officer involved in Sunday's shooting has been placed on paid administrative leave, which is standard protocol.
"Our condolences go out to the family of the deceased as any loss of life is traumatic to those that were close to Mr. Huttle," Williamson said. "I will release the officer's name once I have approval from the state police detectives."

Sunday's fatal shooting comes about two months after Jasper County police were cleared in the death of 26-year-old Valparaiso, Indiana, native Rhyker Earl.
So now were killing people during traffic stops?

Well, according to the aptly named Aunt Karen, they did. One of the stupid things about this is Jasper County is small, and $100 says she knows the deputy. Probably taught him or his kids in high school before she went full MAGA.

I was joking.

Guy who violently assaulted Capitol Police also violently assaulted his local police. Shocking.

The presidential pardon was safeguarded from abuse for over 200 years. Because even the worst presidents felt a moral responsibility not to abuse it. Then Trump/Biden come along and use it like a friends and family cell phone plan.
Only reason Trump pardoned all of them right away was he couldn’t be bothered to vet the violent ones from the non violent ones.

Northern is squealing like a stuck pig in this thread. He repeatedly assured us in the run up to the election that Trump would not pardon violent felons, even though Trump told us he was going to do it. So much of the GOP's mythos is built on the narrative they love cops more than the LiBZ, but here is a man would should be in prison out tussling with a cop.
It puts into focus the embrace of lawlessness by Trump and his supporters.

This is totally on Bonespurs for releasing a violent felon back into society. I guess Bonespurs isn't really a fan of law and order after all. Too bad the criminal met this fate, but accountability and karma are bitches aren't they? Insincere thoughts and prayers for this criminal. Nice work Trump 😕

So the dirtbags are rising to the top. We all saw this coming. Never should have been given a get out of jail free card by Bonespurs. Disgusting the criminals now walking the street because of his mismanagement of the situation. Horrible judgement by Bonespurs however that is one of his traits. So sad he did this... with obviously more to come. I feel for the poor innocent victim.

@NorthernHawkeye , yes there certainly has been Patty Hearst, Seth Rich, etc come to mind.
Trump in his first term though handed out pardons at an unacceptable rate to friends. Then Biden continued the same trajectory. Previous pardons were usually of individuals with no relationship to the president.
This is what happens when norms are crossed. The other side now assumes it’s fair game.

Biden started a new trajectory, that being family members as well as pardons for crimes not even known at this time.

I support commutation/pardon reform. Prior to Biden, Obama set new records.
