you can’t always get what you want!
5-0…..roadies with NW, MSU and tOSU…at home vs. Nebby, Washington, Michigan and Purdue…
These guys can score points abd have a decent defense.. A 10-11 win season seems possible this point if the season….plus they gave a stud QB and receiver….this is not your father’s Indiana football team. (Of course, there are 3-4 potential losses on that schedule, too.)
The Hoosiers may be America’s surprise team this year! ( like the 1967 Hoosiers of John Pont.)

I see them winning more like 8 or maybe 9 games which is a really good season for pretty much anyone not named Ohio St, Michigan, Penn St or Oregon

Really? Lolol.. Obviously your new to this board if you think many here agree with that sentiment.....

Go back and see how many times Indiana has won 9 games in the past 5 decades. With the expanded conference you have at least a couple good to very good teams that are on par with Penn St. dissolving the divisions didn’t make it easier for the western teams.

And? All I said was that winning 8 or 9 games isn't going to appease Iowa fans so your statement won't fly to most here. You disagree?

Absolutely I disagree. You’re not playing in the Big Ten West anymore. If they are disappointed it’s because they are unrealistic.

Lolol.. At what point did I say they were being realistic? I SAID most here have not been happy winning 8 or 9 games for much of KF's tenure. If you think thats going to change now, I don't know what to tell you. Like many here Its easy to get upset with some of the opportunities we've missed in some seasons. I've just NEVER understood why people think that Iowa should be better then Illinois, Indiana, Purdue, or Minnesota strictly based on all the factors including demographics, access to top end recruits etc.. and yet we can all read the comments here..

Realistically, Iowa fans are silly but I can’t do anything about that. I’m saying going forward the schedule isn’t going to get easier. As for Iowa being better than the teams you mentioned there’s really not much of a reason that Iowa should be better from a talent standpoint. Those states have more population.

I’ve somewhat thought Illinois high school football is overrated. I think some really good players have come out of there but not for what the population of Chicago is. Also, Illinois has IU, Purdue, and Notre Dame….The Hoosiers and Purdue get the instate leftovers.

Their coach is legit. I could see them going 5-2 the rest of the way, maybe even 6-1 since they have Michigan at home.

They're good at scoring and have an decent D.

Their defense hasn’t seen a running game like Michigans yet. I think their coach is good too.

I too, believe they have found a very good coach. If he does well the rest of this year and and the next, He will become a very hot commodity for the "bluebloods." I bet ND is already looking at him.

This is what culture does for teams. The coach and a lot of his players came from James Madison and they just don't except losing like the previous culture. Now the question will be if it is sustainable when he loses all of his guys and has to recruit against the big boys year after year.

Have a feeling Florida is gonna come after him

Have to have a little talent too.

I do hope they absolutely truck Nebraska.
