Ryan Day is the new interim head coach at OSU. Looks like Meyer is toast.

Looks like they could fire him with cause.

From ESPN.com

Meyer's contract extension signed in April includes language requiring him to report any violations by staff members of Ohio State's sexual misconduct policy to the university's athletics Title IX coordinator. Also, as an Ohio State employee who supervises others, Meyer is required by the university's sexual misconduct policy to report knowledge of domestic abuse by a university employee. According to the policy, "An individual need not be charged with or convicted of a criminal offense to be found responsible for domestic violence pursuant to this policy."

I really don't have much interest in OSU's program, however when OSU is a strong team that makes the B1G stronger and that's good for the Hawks.

I find it interesting they put Day in charge. They had 2 guys with P5 head coaching experience on the staff. Yeah they had a lot of baggage. But to put a guy like Day in charge is interesting in it self.

Not that surprising to me. He was the rising star on that staff, similar to Tom Herman before. He was promoted to OC after being offered the head job at Miss St. And the other two guys had a lot of baggage as you said.

Yea Day is thought of highly and is experiencing a meteoric rise in the coaching ranks right now. If they choose to part ways with UM, they may be saying that they don't want to lose him to another program. Don't want any more unnecessary bad press right now either.

I'm shocked the OSU wrestling scandal is not a bigger story. Pretty f'd up what went on in the sauna and showers and with that sports physician. Over 100 people have come forward with complaints of sexual deviancy and abuse. Me thinks there may be some dark days ahead for the OSU.

Do you guys actually believe he will be fired or bought out? I still don’t see how he’s not coaching at osu in the future.
It took a lot more for them to finally work sweater vest out the door.
Urban was a slim ball before they hired him, why would this change what they think of him.

Who knows. If everything that's being reported that's in his contract is accurate, they seem to have sufficient grounds to fire him if they so choose.

Personally, and I'm sure this opinion won't be very popular on here, but after Ped State and recently Michigan State and now Urban Meyer, the B1G Ten is developing a serious image problem that is starting to make the SEC blush.

I think it's time to start cleaning some of this shit up. We know MSU doesn't have the moral compass to do so, hopefully OSU does.

Looks like I was pretty spot on in the fact they wouldn’t get rid of him. All OSU cares about is winning. Like I stated earlier. They knew he was scum when the hired him in the first place. Why would this change how they feel about him.

Exactly. It's not like he had the reputation of a choir boy at Florida.

So just to clarify, is Urban completely REMOVED from all team activities (practices, game prep, etc) until after the TCU game, or can he just not be a sideline coach during games 1-3?
