They still have to have teams they can beat in there, and why piss off a chunk of the nations viewers. Nobody wants to see a 12 team playoff with 6 teams each from the B1G and the SEC...Until they aren't allowed in the playoffs.

Don't agree that that will be anytime soon...The Big 12 is headed towards midmajor status. No way a coach stays at a school in a non power flailing conference. The shoe will be dropping soon for College football and the Big 12 won't be at the table.
Not sure where this narrative is coming from. Only 1 team from the Big 12 will get in most years, whereas 4 from the B1G will make it. Doesn’t sound “a lot” easier to me.A lot easier to go to the playoffs in the Big 12 vs. the B1G.
ISU shouldn't beat Iowa in Kinnick, called rivalry games.OSU was favored by 20 against Michigan. This was an average Power five team, at best. The game should not have been close playing at the Shoe.
Would be a huge mistake on OSU part to hire that dbagAnother year of MCs name being tossed around for jobs he will never ne considered for. Tis the season I guess.
You have a point with Indiana. Not sure where this narrative is coming from. Only 1 team from the Big 12 will get in most years, whereas 4 from the B1G will make it. Doesn’t sound “a lot” easier to me.
There is a huge difference. ISU isn't in a P2 conference. The p4 is going away. The financial difference will be massive and glaringly obvious in the near future. BTW what in my prior post said anything related to the Iowa Hawkwyes? My comments were regarding the Big 12 and it's rapid decline.Lolol.. There's little difference between Iowa's two P4 teams
Family time? Is the ISU job some sort of part time gig? What an insult to your school! Job security? Campbell would end up never having to worry about money again if he took the buckeye job.MC is a football coach, I don't believe he is much into the CEO role that many blue bloods programs require.
In Ames, he has a certain amount of privacy for him and his family. He won't be the highest paid coach in college football, but the benefit of having family time, job security are benefits to someone who's family is important.
I can see him staying for awhile and then maybe give the NFL a shot when the time is right. (Cleveland Browns)
C'mon man he already doesn't have to worry about money. He ain't been working for minimum wage.Family time? Is the ISU job some sort of part time gig? What an insult to your school! Job security? Campbell would end up never having to worry about money again if he took the buckeye job.
The BIG and SEC have been in talks, its soon.Don't agree that that will be anytime soon...
I bet its not before their new TV deal expires which is in 2030.....The BIG and SEC have been in talks, its soon.
For the next few years, yes. Afterwards however...A lot easier to go to the playoffs in the Big 12 vs. the B1G.
